So, based on the fine advice herein https://www.pricescope.com/communit...ec-20-gia-and-sarin-table-discrepancy.161799/ from older and wiser PSers, I went ahead and got this EC (1.2ct, GIA cert, E/VVS2, 7.41x5.16x3.34, D: 64,7%, T: 65%, girdle thin-medium, polish VG/symm E) and had it shipped to Dave Atlas/oldminer for appraisal.

Interestingly, he commented on the discrepancy between Sarin and physical measurement that I noticed on the WF report in the old thread. He also confirmed that my fiancée-to-be's EC performed as advertised. As an added (and unexpected) bonus, he sent lots of DiamCalc data for me to nerd out over.

Dave: bless you, sir.

I'm attaching everything-- photos/ASET from WF, and appraisal summary/ASET/DiamCalc from D.Atlas. Karl commented in the first thread about good light return over the p3 facets (which Dave's ASET also seems to show, at least to my untrained eye), and DC data shows angles (p1-p4) of 60.69/47.88/38.95/31.40. Both p3 and p4 are well above the critical angle of 24.5 degrees (though I haven't worked out the optics with this particular set of angles.)

Crown height is 11% with crown angles (c1-c3) of 50.5/34.9/23.0.

I'm curious how this stone performs in theory based on these numbers.

It also seems to have a rather long culet (reported at 32.36%.)

Thank you! I have a feeling from those pics that it's going to look bottomless in person, and it's going to SHINE (in a discreet, classy step-cut way.)
