strmrdr, chrono any comments to knock this one?

Where is it now? Do they have an idealscope where it is now? It''s looking like it has potential from the photo, though. That''s a REALLY HUGE picture... so I''m not sure how visible that inclusion would be.

I must have missed this one. The pic looks good. As for the inclusion, the EC is so magnified that I have no idea if it would be eye clean. Based on the VS grading and the inclusion being white, it could well be clean from the top down. I think it is worth calling in.

I agree. I doubt the inclusion would be really visible, and the picture looks lovely so far.

Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate it. Getting pretty nervous since this is the first one I''m having brought in. I''ll be back with the Sarin, Idealscope, ASET reports later.

I''m back with some new more info on this stone.

reg picture looks very good
IS looks great
ASET looks so-so too much green center but there also looks like there might have been an issue with how it was taken.
Have someone look at it with a handheld or desktop aset.

The Atest looked wonky. But I just ignored it. The IS is so lovely on it! Great crown height too.

Personally it looks like a winner to me. I''d put that puppy on hold at the least.

Thanks for the analysis. Generally is there a correlation between Idealscope and ASET images? If one performs well then the other should confirm? I wasn't excited by the ASET image either. I did a search in the forums for other emerald cut ASET images and none of them looked quite like this one.
I'll see if I could have another one taken....

I can''t say too much about EC cuts, but I wanted to add that a nice EC with a depth of 63% is uncommon and really great. You are getting really decent spread out of this stone for a fancy.

gemhunter,

it looks really pretty to me too.

is this from ERD? who took the ASET / Idealscope pictures for you? I''m looking at one from ERD and they seem be discouraging the Idealscope and ASET images, which I want. They say those instruments work best on rounds/princess cuts (i know) but i can see they have value for other shapes. i want them too. i''m waiting on a sarin report first, i guess.

i think yours looks really pretty!

Gemhunter,
I love this EC. I took one look at the magnified pics and said, "hmm...good".
Then I saw the ASET and went "hmm...quite nice".
Then I saw the IScope and went "wow"

All the Sarin stats are great too.

Thanks Chrono! I was hoping you''d stop by and give your thoughts.

If you were nitpicking, would there be anything more you would want from the pictures and stats?

If I were nitpicking, I''d ask them to retake the ASET picture. I want to be sure that it is accurate. There''s a lot of green but it could just be the angle it was taken at and I want to be 100% sure.
