E-Rings in Europe

I recently found out that, interestingly, the E-ring hype is not a universal phenomenon. In the US, about 80% of the engagements are preceded by the classic engagement diamond ring.

In Europe however, this seems to be far less. Does anyone have any statistics on this (I would be interested how many diamond engagement rings are given in Europe for an engagement)?
