I posted a while ago looking for opinions on spacer bands. Even though i love the traditional look of a Ering and Wring, i learned that its almost essential for a spacer band.

meet my silver spacer band that i had bought in mexico on our honeymoon (september 2008)
its not as shiny as my white gold bands, but i like that it was bought on our honeymoon.

Re: engagement ring & Wring please meet Spacer

nice - i like it at lot! love the sentimentality behind it too.

I love the look!! I love stacked rings and I actually like that the spacer band isn't shiny like the gold. :)

thank you for posting this. I have been debating whether or not to invest in a plain spacer for my Ering and Wring. My Ering is a prong set eternity style as well as my Wring. I fear there will be rubbing and damage without one. Your set is making me lean towards getting a spacer. :appl:

bad idea.

silver, like plat., is soft - so will pick up grit and become like sandpaper that will gradually eat away at the neighbouring gold bands.

Yssie- I personally would be buying a white gold spacer like my rings... but I think the concept of a spacer is great, as for materials- I don't know enough to remark on it. :))

thanks i had no idea - i may have another item to put on my xmas wish list :)

The look is gorgeous, and I love the sentiment. Even if you decide to replace it eventually, I think it's fun to be able to try out the look before you commit to a big purchase.

And they do look great.

Sorry , but silver is softer than gold, so silver is going to be eaten away by gold, your diamonds are safe because silver won't eat away prongs.

However, I like your spacer band, silver (and steel) is a great option and I do love the meaning (honeymoon) behind it.

I love the three ring look. If you wanted it shiny, couldn't you just have it rhodium dipped and polished?

Looks very nice, and it doesn't take away from your wedding set at all!

How big is the center stone? How big are each of the stones on the W-Band? Size of finger?

This is similar to the ring I'm looking at.

I'm looking at a 1.71 ct with 5 pointers on a 6.5 size finger.

Trying to figure out how its going to look.

It looks great!
