E-ring Selection Help

Hey everyone!!!

I''m beginning to look for an e-ring for my girl.

I''ve decided upon using a round center between 1.1 - 1.4 Carats. H-J color. and VS2 - EyeClean SI1



I''m now stumped on finding a setting. I like the x-prong setting by Vatche but want some sidestones. Would it be ok to use princess cuts as my sidestones in channel setting with the round center or is this not looked upon as not as nice as just sticking with rounds for the sides????

Also...whats everyones view on channel vs pave? --- I don''t want extra metal and was hoping for an elegantly sized shank for the ring/wedding band.

HI and Welcome.

It''s fine to use princess sidestones with a round center i''d just keep them small. If you do the princess wedding band I believe both rings will have to be channel set.
Pave is done with round stones. I do think you should find out which look your gal will prefect b/c they are very differnt. Pave settings are very popular right now and is what is in all the bride magazines or celebrity magazines so she might really like a pave setting too.

I personally would not choose the princess stones with the round. All rounds will be a little more timeless, I think.
