E-ring insurance options in Canada (BC)

My friend is completing her e-ring. Can you tell me what steps she should/can take in terms of getting it insured? Her bf is paying around $6k for it so I think insurance is warranted!

If they have home owners insurance, it may be covered already, they may need to submit some paperwork. The condition here is that if something ever happened to the ring, it would count as a claim against your home owners insurance.

If the amount is higher than the home owners insurance limit or they do not have or or not interesting in doing it that way, you can take out a separate article policy or do something like with Jewelry Mutual Insurance. They are in Canada too I believe. If you go to their website you can get a quick quote.
