Dust needed for one of the furry family members

Oh jordy, I'm so sorry for his and your pain and hope he continues the path towards recovering well! Lots of dust!!

Jordy, I am glad Chucky is recovering and feeling better though still not out of danger and I am sending tons and tons more dust to your sweet furbaby. I hope his potassium levels stabilize and that there is no damage to his heart or any other permanent damage. Hoping for his full recovery. Big (((hugs))) to you, your wife and dear Chucky.

More dusting for the little bud! *dust* *dust* *dust*

So glad to read that Chucky is improving.:appl: :appl: Will keep sending lots of healing "dust" your way!

So glad they caught it in time. Dust for continued improvement! Hoping he is back to himself soon...

Jordy, I'm so relieved that Chucky is recovering.

Did the vet suggest a low phosphate diet to prevent future crystals? Hope so. :))

I hope Chucky will home soon! I love the pics you have shared of him. He's sounds like a very special little family member. I was really touched to hear that he is licking the hands of the nurse to be affectionate. I'm sure he's glad to be feeling better. :wavey:

My kitty had this problem about 10 years ago.
After surgery to remove the bladder stones, he recovered and is ok, after all these years.
Hoping for a good outcome for your special kitty.

So wishing the best for all of you. Hopefully, he can take it easy, and appear lethargic so that all his energies are used internally to fight hard and beat back his medical issues. Being back home with his Mom and Pop will make all the difference too. Here's a ton of dust coming your way, poor guy.

This is great news, thank you for posting. Go Chucky!!! Get well and get back home, little guy!!!

The nurses must love him. What a loving cat

Jordy, thank you for updating us on Chucky -- I'm so glad he's recovering! Bless his little heart! I know how it feels to lose a kitty unexpectedly, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Hugs to you and your sweet kitty!

I hope he's doing well.

Glad to hear Chucky is recovering and feeling better, continued dust coming your way.

WE HAVE HIM HOME!!

Poor little guy still isn't completely in the clear though, apparently he has urinary tract disease. We're going to try to get him drinking more water and have some medication however if he blocks up again then he will not make it a second time. Right now he's a little loopy and sedated so we put him on the bed and he's having a snooze.

Yah, glad he is back with you, did they suggest a special diet for him, that can help with cats that have these types of issues....

Hi Arkieb :wavey:

They haven't given any kind of special dietary requirements or anything like that for the immediate other than the meds, they did recommend some specialist food occasionally that helps fight infection.

He has also been to the bathroom since coming home which is also a good sign.

Yay for home! He looks so happy!

Did they suggest a good wet food? Go do your own research, but wet food helps keep water going in. Dry food is prone to pull moisture from them and can make urinary stuff worse.

Yay! Such a cutie and glad he made it home. I switch my cat's diet from dry to wet food when she had kidney issues and it helped extend her life by several years.

So glad to hear your little guy is home. I always feel like it's a boost for their recovery to be home with everything that is familiar and comforting to them. Still sending lots of healing "dust" your way and fingers crossed for Chucky's continued recovery.

They did give us one that helps with urinary tract issues but they said it's not essential. He's been very affectionate since coming home as well, I think he understands that we did what we had to do so he is no longer in pain.

It's a relief to see him not crying out like he was, he hasn't made a sound since coming home which is normal for him =)

I am so glad he is home. More prayers for you and Chucky.

I'm so happy he's home jordy! And glad that he seems to be comfortable and feeling better, he is sooo sweet - sending more healing dust that he does better as each day passes! Hugs to you all!

So glad to see his comfy pic of I'm Home Now!!! Yay Chucky :appl: :wavey: :appl: Thank you for posting this, Jordy.

Keep up the good healing, Chucky! I hope you continue to spoil him and he continues to drink and pee!
