Hi,
I''m having the hardest time deciding on a setting for my e-ring and keep on going back and forth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I''m not the uber careful type and tend to bump my rings so one of my main concerns is durability.

Shared Prong:
Pros: I love the look the most
Cons: Concerns about scratches and wearing off the prongs since it would rub up against
a matching wedding band.
I feel like I keep on having to shift shared prong e-rings and wedding bands
to keep them matching up.

Channel Set:
Pros: More secure than shared prong?
Cons: I saw a channel set band with uneven gaps between the diamonds. Is this normal
and eventually occurs or was it just bad worksmanship?

Bead Set:
Pros: Will I get the channel set look without worrying about the uneven gaps?
Cons: Less sparkle since there''s more metal?

I would get the one you like the best. they all have very different looks to them. regarding the channel set, no there shouldn''t be uneven spaces between the stones, sounds like poor workmanship.

I agree I would go with the one you like the best. They each have their own pros and cons. Personally I don''t like channel set with rounds as well as I do with princess cuts because the shape of the stone fits the channel better. Bead set is a more subtle sparkle in my opinion. All three are quite pretty.

I''d recommend looking at both Ritani and Scott Kay bands before making up your mind. They were just in a class above most of the similar rings I had seen. I looked at the Ritani under a microscope, and it was actually prong-set within a very low channel. Just perfection in workmanship..same with the Scott Kay.
