Well, got back from the hand specialist. Not good news at all. He says I have both Dupuytren's Contracture AND Trigger Finger!!!! How can this be? Both coming on at the same time and the same finger? He wanted to give me 2 separate steroid injections- one for the DC and a different one for the Trigger Finger. I declined. Since I feel both were an inflammatory response after the Covid Vaccine I want to see if they settle down with time. If not, I will probably get a second opinion before I get any injections. Bummer- it means I won't be able to paint anymore, go clay shooting, or play pickleball. Oh well...

Oh no, I am sorry @pinkjewel :(

Are you confident in his diagnosis? Perhaps a second opinion?
I am glad you declined the steroid injections for now.

Sending you well wishes and lots of healing dust.

thanks, Missy. He was highly recommended, however, if these nodules do not diminish on their own, I will definitely seek a second opinion.

On another note, I have a friend who I was talking with a couple of days ago who also had recently gotten a diagnosis of DC. She had some small nodules start to appear about 6 months ago, but they were not getting larger. She had her Covid vaccine at almost the identical time of mine and her nodules have grown huge!!!! She has been documenting the increase in size by circling the nodules on her hand and taking photos. I just don't think this is a coincidence.
