I have a couple of ducks that are insisting on swimming in my pool. It’s been a week. We scare them away, but they are back in a couple of hours. Do you have any tips for getting rid of them? I don’t appreciate duck shit and am wondering if they pose any other health/unsanitary threats risks?
I am sorry Nala, but the image of ducks in your pool is just too cute! Although I know the poo etc might not be the most sanitary etc.
Here's something that might help:

Get a big dog
We used to get the occasional duck, when we had a pool. Our dog always knew before we did and would go berserk, barking at the window or patio door, and chase it away. If was lucky, I would get to the window in time to see it fly away.
Maybe the pool store would have a suggestion of something that would make your pool look less appealing to the ducks?

Omg! You feel my pain!I’m dealing with ducks on a daily basis too this year, at least 6 times a day every day. It’s mating season and they’re very persistent. Luckily I have a dog who will chase the ducks away, but they come back so frequently even she isn’t up for the challenge by the umpteenth time. They don’t mind swimming with inflatables, they just stay on the opposite side. I keep tennis balls by the door and toss them if I can get the door open quietly, but this has been going on for a couple weeks now and the ducks have learned to get out of the pool as soon as they hear the door open. They try to hide in the plants until the coast is clear.
I took this photo about an hour ago...they heard me coming.

Oh, I sure do! This is the first time since we moved in 4 years ago that we’ve had so many water foul visitors. We also get heron and egrets, but they don’t go into the pool, thank goodness. My neighbors are having the same problem...not sure why there seem to be so many ducks in our back yards this year. Nala, are you also in southern California?Omg! You feel my pain!

Be thankful you don't have deer swimming around....
I like Lyra's suggestion of inflatables and along those lines how about getting a plastic replica of one of their natural predators and putting it in your pool?
Snakes are natural duck predators and I bet you can easily find a floating snake to put in your pool. I don't know if it would work but worth a try maybe.
