I was reading a magazine in the checkout stand and according to the magazines her engagement ring is small and simple. I wonder if it will spark a trend.

DREW BARRYMORE TO WED AGAIN!
Friday June 18, 2004
It was an emotional roller coaster for Drew Barrymore last week. First, the two-time "Angel" visited her ailing father, John Drew Barrymore, 50, at a Santa Monica Alzheimer's care center on Monday, June 7. It must have been a painful visit, because she left in tears. Thankfully her boyfriend of two years, Fabrizio Moretti, of the hot band The Strokes, was at her side.
The tears soon turned to tears of joy when the lovebirds were spotted gushing over engagement rings at Cartier jewelers on Rodeo Drive in L.A. just two days later. On June 10, the newly-svelte Barrymore, 29, and Moretti, 24, were seen holding hands and being very touchy-feely in the store.

So, it didn't say what her ring is but perhaps where it was bought.
I think I read that it was a 0.5 ct somewhere....a round brilliant, I think, but I can't remember---the mag had a pic of Courteney Cox-Arquette with Drew on the cover...US magazine? InStyle? something like that, but it wasn't People...
She's the one who wanted the ring that small--THAT IS definitely a trend!!!
Twice-wed actress Drew Barrymore has reportedly been flaunting a stunning engagement ring from Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti.

The Charlie's Angels star met the rocker at his 2002 concert and Moretti has finally decided to cement the turbulent two-year-long relationship by presenting her with a diamond Cartier engagement ring worth $7,324 according to British newspaper the Daily Sport.
A Barrymore relative reveals, "Drew is engaged. She's really, truly in love."
Oh, very nice. Drew doesn't seem like the bling-bling type anyway, so I'm glad she'd sporting a small ring. Cartier's markup must be at least as much as Tiffany's, so a $7K ring has to be closer to the national norm than the Hollywood norm.
Maybe smaller is in? I guess it's hip to pretend you don't care about money and diamonds? Guess I'll never be hip! hehehehe....How about Bab's ring from James Brolin (sp?) Babs has a one carat ring....And let's not forget Kevin Costner's microscopic purchase (for a celeb)...
Well small can be good if you like to accesorize with lots of different types of other jewelry, or maybe she does want to appear not to care about bling, or perhaps she just likes things simple.
