That''s great! Will it be returned in plenty of time for the wedding, I hope???

Great result! I''m glad that they have taken responsibly and are fixing their mistake.

FABULOUS result! I''m SO happy they are doing the right thing. I was gonna offer to come down to LA and kick some serious tush if they didn''t.

Oh, that''s great that they''re going to fix their screw-up! One question though... you said the dress was still too short with flats on. Is that because their measurement for w/o shoes was you barefoot? I guess what I''m saying is you should make really sure that the measurement for with your shoes is still going to be long enough!

That''s fantastic.

I''m so glad that it was their mistake - but sorry you have had to go through all that trauma.

So happy to hear that this is being fixed! I always love hearing when stores stand behind their product and work and fix the problem, as they should. I''m sad for you that you had to go through this in the first place, though.

So, the 2nd fitting was today, and the dress was the correct length, but had a thick panel of lace in the pelvis area.....if you catch my drift! It was three layers of lace, used to extend the dress. Done very poorly!!!!! THEY never sent it back but tried to fix it in-house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They claim we misunderstood....

SO, refused the dress and they are ordering a new one now. Rushed.

Oh no... I am so sorry. I am thinking good thoughts that you get the dress you deserve. How dare them try to "fix" it. Your wedding dress should be perfect. Stand your ground!! Good luck.

MS- It is hard to stand out ground, but my normally passive mom actually did well this time...and threatened to sue or contact our credit card company (cannot remember what she said exactly).

Well, their "fix-it" does not sound pretty... glad they are ordering a new one for you. Did they think they could slip that by you because most of the brides are not that discering, or what?! Do most not notice the details?

WHAT!!! Wow.... the nerve. Erm, I think it might be time to name the shop, if you''ve not already done so. They damn well better order you a new dress. Kick them in the butt for me too, because I am so angry for you.

That''s just insane. They sell dresses, not make them. Why would they even try to fix the dress? That''s a bit beyond regular alterations.

Once the dress comes in, if it needs any more altering please take it elsewhere. This place is just not worth it.

That''s got to be the most ridiculous thing I''ve ever heard. I probably would have laughed!!!

I will be happy to name them once I get the dress

I am fearful of any retaliation (I doubt it would ever happen, but since my luck isn''t going well right now, I am going to hold off

).....

If this doesn''t work, I have no idea what I will do---

THANK YOU for all your supportive comments.

I am so sorry!! I would be so

. I hope your new dress comes really soon! How long does rushed take?

4 weeks...which means I should have enough time for one last alteration....
