Thanks tigian I guess I do put a lot of thought into projects... I have a tendency to double think myself and wonder whether I made the right choice when it comes to my jewelry purchases
38.gif
I wish I was less cerebral that way and could just blithly enjoy the sparklies, but I always want to get a ''good deal'' in the way that Mrs. Salvo defines it: Getting *exactly* what I want!

DiamondFlame Thanks a lot! I agree that it is rare to find an eye-clean I1 and that sort of appeals to me about this little guy. I find that in natural lighing if I look at the diamond from a certain angle holding it about 3 inches from my eye I can see the inclusions... but only because I know where to look

Thanks tlh and Madam Bijoux

Phoenix and Violet I love the idea of earings, but truth is I never wear earings except my white gold hoops! My hair is styles medium length and I rarely wear it back, so the lovely sparkle would probably be lost!

ckrickett I may be leaning that way myself...

what color sapphires do you think you would like.

Very pretty!

What an awesome stone. Have to love those eyeclean I1s! Nice photos too

Maybe the color makes it look bigger? Maybe it''s that the .6 mark always seems to look good to me? Still and all, I thought it was bigger! Congrats! It''s very nice and I especially like the ''blue'' picture!
I think it looks big because there is nothing in the image for scale! Everything looks so large on PS, but I agree with you that .60ct is a very nice size... it looks great in person. Not too small, and not too big, juuuuust right. Thanks for the compliments!
I also have a .65 F color and I agree that .65 is a great size. I''m always startled to hear people on PS calling all stones under 1 carat ''small''. the average size of engagement rings, you know, is .33 (which means a lot of them are smaller than that).

I have almost 2 carat total weight earrings (.90 each) and while I love having them in my ears, I don''t want to have my ring be any bigger. I think the bigger stones in the earrings put the focus near my face, and look very nice there, while bigger stones look ''cluttery'' on my particular fingers. I have bought CZ rings that are the size of one carat diamond solitaire rings, because I want to have an imitation ring for travel, and CZs don''t seem to come in less than 1 carat size. Or not often. I always end up returning the rings, because they don''t look right on my fingers.

Unless I get some fancy shape that faces up small, or a long and thin marquise, I don''t want a ring with a stone bigger than .75.

Congratulations on your pretty diamond!

I can''t believe I didn''t see this sooner...that is one gorgeous diamond!

PS really does create the illusion that bigger is more common! In my real life as well, my former .80ct diamond was one of the largest I ever saw. So I think that .60ct is a really nice size!

But I still want a really big rock

That''s why I have another diamond ring that I wam upgrading.

Very pretty!

Qtiekiki, sorry to hear M have a cold. I hope she feel better soon! Little B got sick over the weekend too, he got running nose, coughing and slight fever.

Iluv, wow...you are the best wife and mom!

Thanks NF, so exciting that you guys are buying a house! I think a good agent is really important.

Hi Courtney~ welcome to mommyhood!

Thanks Burk, your post on picking out stuff for your home does help me in a way. Thanks for the compliments on the pendant, I actually end up giving the pendant to my mom as her mother's day gift since she like it too. But I have to say I miss it very much.

Tacori, I can't believe Tessa took her diaper off...oh my~ can't believe Tessa is 18 months already, soon you'll need to plan her 2 years birthday party.

Blenheim, I'm no help here, I am still in some of my maternity clothes

ETA: I'm sorry guys, I don't know how this happen again...post in the wrong forum

, Stone Hunter, sbde, and Kelli!

It really is a lovely diamond! I have been looking at it in every lighting environment possible trying to see if I can see the inclusions and I really can''t at all! Not even close up...

Buuut I am a little worried it isn''t mind clean enough for me
8.gif
I would really not want to see the inclusions, and if it is set I worry that they will appear in some lighting environment I haven''t tried. I would hate to see them especially if I had set it into a lovely three-stone
15.gif

Have I mentioned I tend to overthing things?

Simple solution - make it a pendant instead.

I know! I thought of that for sure but before seeing Gypsy''s pendent I have never really wanted one because they are too small for my proportions... but something larger would be really nice! I can also trade this back in for a slightly smaller stone without inclusions... too many options.

That stone looks like it has some very nice spread! And gorgeous!

I love it. It has a personality of its own.

You know, my diamond is an I1 and I never saw any inclusions at all until Paul pointed one out to me. It''s itty bitty and at first I was kind of sad to have seen it... but now it''s kind of like a birth mark (one I can''t even find every time I look for it... Paul can find it quickly, though) and it just reminds me that it''s mine, and it''s special. Cheesy, yes. But true none the less. (It''s easiest to see under florescent lighting... have you tried that yet?)

Yeah I looked under florescents and couldn''t see it... I think it is a mind thing. I am going to keep it, I love it so much!
