About a year and a half ago I began my diamond journey by creating a three-stone ring using my original emerald cut sapphire engagement stone and two added ~.45ct EC diamonds (seen here). Although there were elements of the ring that I loved, I was never really gaga over it
On top of that, after finding PS -- a few months after buying the ring -- I discovered that my heart lies with RBs and other more brilliant cuts.
My jeweler has an excellent upgrade policy, so I pondered and pondered what to do to turn my investment into something that I DID love! I thought about trading the diamonds in for two smaller RBs and making my solitaire into a three stone. I thought about trading them in for a single EC and making a lovely halo. But then I thought about what I did love about the ring: The icy whiteness of the D and F colored sidestones, and the amazing contrast between the icy diamonds and the blue of the sapphire.
So I decided to trade in those diamonds for a single, beautiful, colorless diamond!
So, may I introduce my new .63ct, F color, ideal cut, totally eye-clean I1, icy little beauty!
