About a year and a half ago I began my diamond journey by creating a three-stone ring using my original emerald cut sapphire engagement stone and two added ~.45ct EC diamonds (seen here). Although there were elements of the ring that I loved, I was never really gaga over it

On top of that, after finding PS -- a few months after buying the ring -- I discovered that my heart lies with RBs and other more brilliant cuts.

My jeweler has an excellent upgrade policy, so I pondered and pondered what to do to turn my investment into something that I DID love! I thought about trading the diamonds in for two smaller RBs and making my solitaire into a three stone. I thought about trading them in for a single EC and making a lovely halo. But then I thought about what I did love about the ring: The icy whiteness of the D and F colored sidestones, and the amazing contrast between the icy diamonds and the blue of the sapphire.

So I decided to trade in those diamonds for a single, beautiful, colorless diamond!

So, may I introduce my new .63ct, F color, ideal cut, totally eye-clean I1, icy little beauty!

Reflecting some colors...

Maybe the color makes it look bigger? Maybe it's that the .6 mark always seems to look good to me? Still and all, I thought it was bigger! Congrats! It's very nice and I especially like the "blue" picture!

It is an I1 after all... but you cannot see these in person, only in PS photoshoots!

This daisy was a lovely prop, but tomorrow I may get some more variety!

Great stone! How fun for you to have a colorless and lower colored stone to satisfy both needs!!

What will you do with it?

I LOVE the icy clear look of colorless stones; esp yours!

I think it looks big because there is nothing in the image for scale! Everything looks so large on PS, but I agree with you that .60ct is a very nice size... it looks great in person. Not too small, and not too big, juuuuust right. Thanks for the compliments!

It is really fun to have stones at both ends of the spectrum. I haven''t seen my K yet, I get it next week, but I am really looking forward to comparing the two. I love all the different colored diamonds, so having an F and a K is really cool!

For now I think I am going to set it into a temp solitaire setting since I don''t like having a loose diamond around, too easy to lose... but after that I don''t know what to do with it. I want to make a ring because I want to look at it, and it would be a RHR since I want to wear my larger diamond on my left hand. But I have so many things I love!

Three-stone with sapphire sides?
Bezel from JM?
Engraved yellow gold from Greenlakes Jewelry?
Diamond halo?

I just don''t know...

Oh it''s so pretty!!!! Nice pictures! Can''t wait to see it set!

dreamer, i''m glad you decided to get the stone, it looks great and the inclusions are hardly noticeable even in the photos, i''d love to see more photos

I just don''t know...

Not that you asked, but a 3 stone with some awesome sapphires would be FABULOUS!!! And, since you originally had one (in reverse) I think it would be cool!

GORGEOUSNESS!

I likes it.

Ummmm....beeeeaaaauuuutful necklace perhaps? Or RHR with sapphire sidestones (to represent your old ER and the trade up)? Or RHR with little teeny diamond halo? or antique looking sapphire baguette halo ala fay cullen? I could go on all day....

or my favorite option....one more, same color, two martini studs for your beautiful ears!
