I saw a picture of your Brian Gavin half eternity diamond band on another thread. It is absolutely gorgeous!!

I would love to get a ring like yours for my wedding band.

If you don''t mind, could you please let me know the approximate cost of your ring? Also, is your ring platinum or white gold? I am looking to have a platinum ring.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hey ellie! I love my band, it is awesome! It is 5pt diamonds, half eternity, .55ctw. It measures 2mm high at the top where the diamonds are and tapers to 1.6mm high at the underside. It is 2.3mm wide. Mine is wg but BGD can also make it in plat. When I bought it 6 months ago it was around $1100 with H/I color melee and about $50 more I think with F/G color meelee. But gold and plat prices are higher now so I wonder if it is a little more now. Plat is particular is at an all time high at the moment. They can also make it in 3/4 and full eternity as far as I know, others on PS have the same band made that way.

Easiest thing to do is call BGD and ask about the Dream half eternity (or full if you want). It is a stock item in their catalogue now.

I just went and looked at your ring and it is awesome!

One thing to consider that you may not have thought about is that with an e-ring that has a very low profile shank like yours has, and mine has too, it is hard to get a diamond band that will sit flush in terms of height off the finger. I hunter a lot. My e-ring is 1.5mm thick and the lowest profile shared prong diamond band that I could find was memoire which was 2mm. The Dream band is also 2mm, so you will not find lower, but it is still a noticable difference in thickness with my e-ring and it bugs me. I will be resetting my diamond in the future to make the heights match. But you won''t want to do that! I suggest that you go find a memoire dealer near you and try their .50ctw band with your e-ring to make sure the height difference won''t bug you. If it does, then you may want to consider a micrpave band like those ofference by facets. They have a very very thin band (1.8mm I think, made of 1 or 2pt diamonds) that is also only 1.5mm thick. I wanted bigger diamonds, but you can''t really get that in a very thin band.

Thank you so much for the information and for the complement on my e-ring!!

I never thought about the height of the ring off my finger. I was only thinking about the width of the band. Thank you for bringing this to my attention because I will definitely go to a store to try on something similar to see if I''m okay with the height difference. Thanks again!!

I have another question. Were you only looking for .50 - .55 ctw half eternity bands? I just visited Memoire''s site and I see that they have a half eternity band that is .33 ctw. I am willing to get a shared prong setting that is lower than 50 ctw. Do you know if the .33 ctw half eternity setting would have a lower height? Thanks again!

I was told by BGD when they were making my ring that the only way to get lower than 2mm was to use 2pt diamonds. That was smaller than I wanted but it might work for you. Check facets too because their quality is excellent and I know they have a full eternity band of 2pointers that is around 1.5mm thick.
