OK,

I've been doing research for the past month on the ROCK and I think I've narrowed it down to the following 2 choices (in no particular order :)

RB 0.785 E VS2
depth 60.9%
table 56.5%
crown 34.3 deg
pav. 40.8 deg
no flour.
GIA excellent (H&A)
culet 0.2%
girdle ~1.7% (1.2 - 1.9%)
5.97 - 6.00 - 3.64 mm
$4150

- OR -

RB 0.782 E VS1
depth 60.4%
table 57%
crown 34 deg
pav. 40.7 deg
faint flour.
AGS Ideal polish/sym/proportn
culet 0.4%
girdle ~1.4% (1.1% - 2.2%)
5.95 - 5.98 - 3.60 mm
$3900

Price is not a deciding factor.

I'm wondering how the flourescene affects the rock (under what conditions does this show up - office? outdoors? night-time? dance-clubs?)

Also, wondering if the accuracy of the cut matters to the sparkle (brilliance/fire, etc), as the first rock is an H&A and obviously took more time to cut/polish properly.

I was originally hoping to get a D VSS1/2 (they're quite hard to find in the 0.75 - 0.78 size), but I think an E color is probably not going to make a noticeable difference and the VS1 can't be seen by the naked eye.

Any opinions out there?

much appreciated! Thanks again!
