Down to 2 rings! Need advice again...

Hi folks,
You may remember me from about a week ago. I pushed the proposal date as I was far too busy to continue the search, but seems as though I have narrowed it down to 2 rings now:

Tiffany solitare (Tiffany setting) 1.38 I VS2 $12,600
Cartier 1895 solitare (''plain'' setting) 1.37 G VS2 $14,600

Any thoughts again?

Is the budget easily able to handle either? If so then my choice would be the Cartier.
