I had the tanzanite ring from before, but since I liked the style so much, I had another one made but with a pink sapphire instead. Had them go through an entire parcel of loose stones to get the one I wanted with just the right color.
These are 8 x 6 mm calibrated stones but since they have different Specific Gravities,
the tanz (SG = 3.35) is 1.23 ct, and the pink sapphire (SG = 4.00) is 1.68 ct.
They are small
but relatively inexpensive too,
a lot less than my Richard Homer cut blue sapphire.
