I have bought a beautiful pair of diamond studs from ID Jewelry, they are .50 carat each, J colour, SI2 (eye clean). I had originally asked for milgrain bezels, and Yekutiel has asked me if I would like a double row of milgrain. This is his recommendation and he's shown me a photo (below) that looks lovely.

I'm certainly interested as he says it's his preference and that it will enlarge the look of the stones, but I'm concerned that it might seem to trendy? I have a milgrain pendant that's one row, so I had also wanted them to be similar. Obviously adding a row of milgrain isn't going to massively change the look of the pieces, but I wonder if anyone had double milgrain items from ID jewelry or another vendor.

I'm having trouble discerning whether the double row will overpower stones that size - i tend to think not, but it's tough when so many photos of jewelry are so magnified.

advice? photos?

They are beautiful

The picture looks lovely, assuming the stones are about the same size, the two rows don't overwhelm at all.

But that isn't really important if you aren't in love with the double row. For me, the mismatch between the earrings and the pendant would drive me nuts. But for someone else, it might not even phase them. If your gut says you want your studs and pendant to match, then you have your answer.

I did a little digging and the photo is the same carat weight - 1 carat total. So i don't think that the double bezels overpower the stones... hmmm, still debating!

I like the double milgrain. I have a double milgrain pendant (made by Yekutiel) and the stone looks quite larger than it's one-carat size.

@queenie60 - do you find that the double milgrain is quite wide? or it's still fine and delicate?

Not Queenie, but I can tell you just looking at the pictures that the milgrain is tiny. It certainly isn't going to appear wide.

It's quite delicate. Yekutiel has a great bench person and the milgrain is very well done.img_1839_0.jpg
