I'm mostly a lurker and learner here on PS, but you all should know that you've planted a dangerous seed of sparkly love in me! I've got my everyday stuff pretty much sorted (engagement ring, studs, eternity band) but it has been NAGGING at me that my lonely little cartilage stud is still a sad, high basket, junky little thing that I got pre-PS.

Well, today that changes! I wrote to Yekutiel and he agreed to do a single, well cut, 5pt three-prong martini in WG to wear up there. Yes, probably their smallest custom order ever but it's the final piece to upgrade so for me it feels BIG!

I will post pics comparing what I have now vs. my new IDJ in SMTB once I receive it and you will see what I mean! Maybe I will have to do family pics too, since none of my stuff is posted here yet.

They declined to set my OEC even though I have seen them set other stones that were not from IDJ. That was disappointing.
I had done business with them in the past and was hoping to do more business in the future.

I'm sorry you had that experience! I've spoken to Yekutiel before about old cuts and I obv can't speak for certain but I just don't think he wants to take the risk involved with setting or working with old cuts/replacing/etc....I doubt it had to do with the actual work requested.

I think it will look awesome! I've gotten the bug too since joining PS and I just upgraded my 22kt gold nose ring to one with small (2pt) diamonds. My DH is Sri Lankan and fine jewelry is an important cultural expression to his family, so he is on board with all of my new shenanigans!

That sounds awesome! I would love to have a piercing there but I can't sleep with any jewelry and I would have to take it out every night which would kind of defeat the purpose, but I love the look.

Very nice. I too have a cartilage piercing which I keep open with a small 22k hoop. that sounds like a fantastic idea to have IDJ do that for you. Looking forward to seeing pictures!
