Does this sound like a good deal for a princess cut?

I was wanting to get some opinions on this stone from others with more experience. I will be going to see it in person tomorrow but I just thought I''d get some input from others that might help me in my decision. Here are the specs.

carat: .65
color: G
clarity: vs1
table: 74%
depth: 67.9%
flourescence: no
dimensions: 4.94 x 4.74
price with simple solitare white gold setting: $2180

thanks

not too bad for those #s...maybe a little high...maybe a couple hundred high... could be a very nice stone!

I think I will be happy with the clarity and color but which of the other numbers should change to create a more beautiful diamond? To me, in my very limited knowledge, it seems like the table is a bit large. What effects would this have on the appaearance of the stone?
Thanks for any help.

You tricked us--unintentionally! Usually it seems people put the depth before the table, which is why I was originally going to respond the same as moremoremore (guess it helps to read everything first, huh?). Anyway, the table is extremely large for the depth. As such, you will probably have a low crown, resulting in a stone with less fire. If you can, try to stick to stones with tables that are, at most, equal to the depth. While it's true that princess cut stones need to be seen in person to determine their actual beauty, the numbers can definitely steer you in the right direction. And, based on numbers alone, I would pass on this stone--but that's just my opinion and I'm no expert!

LOL...I JUST noticed that too researcher...I thought that was the depth too!!! So I take my answer back....sorry!

And you are over paying...you can do better.

I figured you'd made the same mistake I almost did--fortunately I had the second post to go on!

Hope you're having a great day!
