Does this oval look like a good cut?

just inside the table leakage will result in the color showing as rather yellow.
I would suggest searching for an SI1 diamond with a better color as ovals show improved color through the center and worse in most other parts.

I see that but I love the yellow to white contrast. It makes me love it more

OK, great. Just making sure you are well informed. Appears not to have a bow tie, but there is leakage that you would see with an ideal-scope or ASET - which you can request.

I’m confused. You ask if the cut on the Diamond is good and when one of our experts - @Garry H (Cut Nut) - weighs in, you seem dismissive of his comments. Are you sure you want real opinions or just agreement that you selected a nice diamond?

For me, this would be an easy nope on this diamond. It isn’t cut well, it isn’t symmetrical, and likely wouldn’t be a really well performing one. But my opinion may not matter either. If you want it, get it and I hope you enjoy it.

The problem is that the areas that Gary has marked as "Y" for yellow do not return light well. So if you want a stone with about
2/3rds of the stone not returning light well, you've found it. This is part of the nature of ovals but we tend to want to minimize
the mushy areas and maximize the areas that return light well. Because your taste don't run typical (which is A-OK), I think you just
need to see the stone and decide for yourself if it fits your needs. Wondering why you don't go down to a K if you like the tint?
Could save you some money.

This is a great suggestion!

Anyone have thoughts on any of these as an alternative for violetlaurel?

Thank you so much for all the great advice!! I’m leaning towards the K 1.05 mm

Gary, what do you think of this Diamond a member suggested? I like the warmth but is this a good cut with less leakage? Thank you for your help!

Now that’s a great alternative to the original! Really pretty.

I honestly don’t see that big of a difference but I had James Allen show me an aset image and they advised to switch Diamonds. I would much rather have sparkle and performance over a whiter one. Thank you for your advice! I’m going with the K 1.05 carat

I think you're definitely making the right decision.
Please post lots of pictures and videos once you get it!

What does everyone think of this J?

I'm not well versed at reading oval ASET images, so others that are more seasoned with doing so will need to provide that feedback to you.
If I had to take a guess, I'd say it's a bit above average.
Are you thinking the K-L color range will be too warm to you?

I did find this 1.08 KVVS2 that you may want to get an ASET for (if you want a bit more pronounced warmth):
