Yes i actually bought the diamond and decided on the Platinum tiffany solitare setting. It is Eye clean and the best out of 3 that where presented to me. I do have pictures and im reading on how to post them as we speak.

I just didnt know if there is anything irregular in the specs that stands out to anyone. it alos has the cert# Laser inscribed on the diamond.

I can''t see any flags, some say it can be best to have the table smaller than the depth, but the main thing with fancy shapes is to ideally be able to see it with your own eyes and buy what YOU think is beautiful! It sounds like you have done this and your homework! I look forward to the pics!

I did have an independent apprasial done on the stone, which i got the info for that person from this web site. Everything by her standards came in on the up and up and matched with the GIA report. I purchased the diamond for 7225 (They gave me a nice Discount cause my buddy is a good customer) she apprasied it at 13,000.00.

P.S
I have to run to a meeting and im still trying to email and post the pictures from another PC. It wouldnt work on my MAC

Sounds like you did great! No worries with the pics, if the ring is complete, then go ahead and start a new thread in Show me the Ring!! One thing with the appraisal value, with the insurance, use a figure that it would cost you to actually replace the diamond should the worst happen, otherwise you will be paying a lot for the 13k appraisal value.

Thank you so very much! I think im just a little nervouse and secound guessing myself.

Your the best Lorelei.

I will post the pics in the new thread when i get back

I do know how you feel, I second guess myself all the time with large purchases, and I think it is a sign of a smart shopper - no worries! You have obviously done your homework, and compared stones, then picked one which ' spoke' to you, so that is how it should be!

I look forward to the new thread when you are able, and thanks for your very kind words!
