I am no expert but to me it looks like it was made from a mold of an antique ring. The details don’t look as sharp as I would expect in the first picture, even with age, I would expect to see a certain level of fineness.

@YadaYadaYada thank you! I wonder if I should keep it. The stones look genuine and one of the diamonds is pretty included. The seller knows nothing about jewelry and it was pretty inexpensive.

I’ve bought a ring that was made from an original before and it was really pretty. If you feel the price was fair if it is a repro then why not keep it?

I bought an eternity band recently that has stones that are very abraded but I love the color so I don’t care. Only you can decide what your threshold is.

This is a pretty ring, I love how those old cut diamonds set off the ruby, the diamonds are mine cuts? How is the sparkle?

Are there any hallmarks inside the band?

Love the high crown. I think it’s a great price. I would keep it.

$175 is excellent!

It's beautiful and you got it for a great price!

It looks very crisp and new in this photo after I zoomed in. I don't see any wear or patina. Has an almost stamped look.

I agree that it looks stamped, but I’m not sure whether that disqualifies it as being an antique (I imagine similar rings were made for a variety of price points even back in the day.) What gives me pause is the fact that this is yellow gold - I think white gold or platinum was the more popular choice for this type of design.

Either way, it’s a beautiful ring at a fantastic price! I have a similar 3-stone ring that I wear routinely as my right-hand ring. At first I used it mainly as a vacation ring, since it hadn’t cost me very much (though I’m sure I paid at least twice the cost of your ring, even ten years ago). But it’s so easy to wear, and so distinctive, that it’s now my go-to right hand ring!

I’d say reproduction. It doesnt have the finesse of an antique piece or the “wear” one might expect.
for the price it’s very pretty and I’d keep it.

This looks like it could be an original victorian ring based on the uneven filigree!
