Does this 6 prong setting look right to you?

Sent a stone to an online retailer to be set. Does the stone look skewed to the right hand side, and do the prongs on the far left and far right appear asymmetrical? If so, is this a normal degree of imperfection? I am trying to determine whether the setting craftsmanship leaves something to be desired, or I'm just being hypercritical of normal imperfections in a setting. Thanks for any help!

That definitely looks wonky to me....I would not be OK with that.

I can see it too. That would make me nuts! :wall: If it were me I would definitely talk to the vendor about it.

Looks a bit off to me. Doesn't seem like the diamond is set correctly on that one side where the prong isn't snug next to the stone. I'd send the vendor these photos and see what they can do!

Thanks everyone for the replies! I drew some lines on the picture which I think more clearly illustrate that the stone is not centered in the setting--making everything look slightly "off". Then, I think they left the prong tip on the left larger than the prong tip on the right, in an attempt achieve more symmetry. Hopefully they will recognize these flaws and agree to redo the setting.

A brand new setting should not look like that. Even without your lines you could see clearly it was off.

When my ex husb proposed ages ago my setting looked slightly "off" like your picture... but I was young & so excited about my diamond I let it go. A few years later I had to replace the entire head because of prong problems... should've known. Not a huge expense but an annoying one. The new one looked perfect and had no issues. So don't be like me & let it go - get it done right from the go if possible :)
