I found a wedding band that I absolutely love, the Tacori 2578b, and one of my friends has this particular ring, and she got it in semi eternity. I was curious if this is something that you can request that Tacori do, or if the jeweler can do, because it isn''t an option that I have been able to find online.

I am currently awaiting some emails from different jewelers to find out if this is a custom thing or not, or if Tacori does custom work. I thought perhaps some ladies out here might know or not.

Thank you,

Elena

I found the answer to my own question by talking to my jeweler today. He said that Tacori makes the custom versions of rings, including the semi eternity! I am really excited now. The main reason I wanted to do semi eternity is because it will be easy for me to resize if I need to. I guess no one really knew, but I am glad that I asked!

When I bought a Tacori E-ring (2326), the Model number had a "1/2x" added to it. This tells the Tacori folks in Cali that its a half eternity band. I figured that they offered all there eternity bands to be 1/2x.

It was cheaper (obviously) and we we afraid of damaging those stones that are on the bottom. Resizing ability is another good reason.

Thank you Rocksalt, you made a very good point there about the stones on the bottom of the eternity ring. That was another reason why I didn''t want the full eternity. :)

The price jumps pretty significantly when they make changes. I was shocked how much!

Our price went down, as we were eliminating the pave diamonds set into the band. Also, the Tacori setting we picked had engraving on the side, which was decreased because the diamonds stopped too. We save a considerable amount of $$. But we were not "customizig" This was an Tacori option.

Tacori will not do "custom work" per se, in the traditional sense of the term which generally means "I want a custom ring" or "I want part X of this design and part Y of that design" but Tacori will usually accommodate minor changes such as the one proposed by TigerLily83 where a semi-eternity version of the ring is desired... I don''t have my Tacori price list with me, but I''m pretty sure that it is already offered "halfway".
