Lol. I mean. When you are stacking and your diamond band is wider than your ering solitaire and it doesn’t line up perfectly with your ering band? If it doesn’t bother you please show me your set and tell me why you love it anyway!

Yes  I expected this to be a question about bra sizing-style-coverage that you meant to post in Hangout (definitely an aptly-named forum for that kind of spillage question!)

It doesn’t have to be an EXACT match (in fact I like it when it’s not), but I like the thickness/heights to be close.

Side rings themselves bother me.
A lone solitaire is the only look I like.
IMO all the money should got into that one single diamond.
Setting it in the cheapest setting possible leaves more funds for a better diamond, the only thing IMO that matters.

To each their own, of course.
But this is RT, not SMTB, so when you ask everyone for opinions you're gonna get em. ;)2

There's a point when the differential comes uncomplimentary; a small difference can still look pleasing to my eyes, but a big one might make me think, "these were not meant to be worn together at all". But I'd never tell a person that, of course - they probably are digging their look!

I like symmetry of ring depths when wearing one ring that features central stones (solitaire, three-stone, graduated five-stone). But I like asymmetry in depths when wearing only bands (no rings with central stones)...

I do not like side rings at all! I like one ring everything was put into diamond or gemstones and design wise. I would never wear a band with that ring to distract from it. If anything I would be wearing a gorgeous eternity with large diamonds on another finger / the other hand.

After spending a fortune on various settings throughout the past 30+ years, I am in total agreement with you! But I had to go through the journey to get here! So in the end, for me, it’s the solitaire with the better diamond!

I used to be all about symmetry in all areas but now I enjoy a little imperfection and find it beautiful even when the widths and depths don't perfectly line up with each other. Of course I only wear one to two bands with Bubbalah but for the sake of illustration here she is with many of my bands. I wouldn't wear her this way just because I am a less is more person generally but I like the way it doesn't line up perfectly.

The cat hair is thrown in there for good measure haha.

And another stack where it doesn't line up but I find it pleasing to my eye.

I also love a gap but that is another topic.
