Just curious what you all think about Tiara''s. My best friend and MOH got married in 2005 and wore an amazing Tiara, it is now my something borrowed for my wedding this July.
I am so excited to wear it cuz its hers...........but now that im on the knot and here and a bunch of other wedding sites, it seems hardly anyone wears a tiara anymore.
Is it ''out''? so to speak?

Just curious what you all think - i know styles and fashion changes so often its hard to keep up but im just wondering.
Im also (and i hate hate hate to say this) but im also wondering the same about my dress........................UGHHHHHHHHHH ok i finally said it out loud.
When i tried on my dress i LOVED it - so very very much, i felt totally like cinderalla.

I ordered it and it wont be in til Feb. But now im looking at all these other amazing gowns and im starting to think mine looks outdated.
did anyone else feel like this? I feel terrible even thinking it as i feel like im bad talking my dress which i did love so much each time i tried it on. this is it

Galvana - Your dress is beautiful and if you felt like Cinderella in it ... it''s the one!

If you like your tiara - you better rock it! In or out. Who cares, if it looks good on you then it works, right?! Some people look horrible with a tiara and it looks forced, others wear one like they were born to do so.

If you take a look at the MS link that you provided, you''ll see that an 08/08 bride, real life, wore your dress with a tiara and she looks lovely. ... so there!

Sorry that you are feeling like this now but I think it''s probably pretty normal to feel uncertain at times, especially when there are so many choices out there and fashion is changing constantly!

LOVE your dress.

And I still see girls wearing tiaras. It''s the one day of your life (besides Halloween) that you can wear one, feel like a princess and look totally normal! :-)

Thanks ladies, guess i need to just get that off my chest and get a little reassurance from you all. I cherish this site and everyone''s input!
TX!

I don''t really think the Cinderella look ever fades totally out of style. A princess is a princess. I think you''re right that less brides are wearing tiaras at the moment than were a few years ago, but that doesn''t mean that you shouldn''t wear yours.

For me -- no tiara, and I think they look downright silly on some women who just really believe they''re royalty and their wedding is their "pretty princess" day. However, some brides pull it off beautifully, esp. when the tiara isn''t big and overwhelming. With your dress it will work, and if you like it, go for it! (And for what it''s worth I don''t see anything dated about your dress.)

I''m personally not a fan, but never was. I don''t think it''s an in vs. out thing, I think it''s just a personal preference...

While tiara''s aren''t my personal cup of tea, I actually suggested that my friend wear one in her August wedding. It''s a tiny, subtle, little thing, and I thought it looked absolutely perfect on her. Here''s a link to her photographer''s blog - scroll down and look for Kim & David''s wedding.

I will be wearing one. I love them and most times they complete the look

totally agree with this. Rock it, girl. with that dress, you can!

Love, love, loooove your dress.

Tiaras were never "in" IMO. Personally I think the Pretty Pretty Princess thing is quite silly looking on adult women, unless they are royalty.
The last time a non royal should wear a tiara is around age 10 at Halloween

It''s your day, do what you will.

Who cares what''s in or out. You want a Tiara, wear the Tiara. Seriously.

It doesn''t matter what any of our opinions are... put that sucker on your head, walk around and listen to your heart. If it says YES... then go for it!

My friend just wore a tiara three weeks ago at her wedding. I think that as long as you love it, that''s all that should matter.

Thanks again guys. When I have my dress on, the tiara definitly completes the look.
I plan on wearing the veil for ceremony and first dance only and then just leaving the tiara on all night.
Wierd because the dress looks different on me then it does on the model. but i suppose they all do.

Thank you all for the comments, i needed it = : )
its been so long since i tried my dress on, im sure once it comes in i will fall in love all over again. TX!

and the tiara belongs to my MOH, my very best friend and wearing something "borrowed" from her, that she wore on her wedding day has a lot of meaning to me.....................i suppose it shouldn''t matter if its a tiara that many dont wear recently. I do like it, very much.
Oh the wedding is in July - i wish it was now so i could post pics............
maybe once the dress comes in = i''ll post some of the complete look so you can give me feedback.

I agree with the others. If you like it, and it looks good on you and goes with the dress, don the tiara!

(Now I could be biased, since I wore the biggest one I could find for my own wedding this summer. No, I wasn''t playing princess, it just made my face glow. How could any bride possibly say no to that?

I do not think they are out, I just think one needs to find a tiara that suits them. My friend got married a couple of years ago and wore one, which looked very nice on her. It was the perfect size and color for her.

I have been to 3 weddings this year each bride wore a tiara :)

if you love it,looks good and makes you feel awesome rock you tiara with pride :)

I bought a small one..buuut I think it''s too much with my veil and my dress. So I''m going to wear it at the reception when I take my veil off. If you like it, go for it!

Your gown is gorgeous, stop looking!

I didn''t plan to wear a tiara, but at the last minute I ended up changing my mind and wearing one after all. Here''s the story...

Two days before the wedding, my FIL decided that he absolutely had to buy me a tiara because we were in Italy, staying in a castle, and I "was his princess". From what I''ve been told, he spent hours in Florence trying to find one, and eventually stumbled upon the Swarovski store and bought me a gorgeous tiara there. He gave it to me that night as a surprise, telling me that he didn''t want me to feel like I had to wear it for the wedding, and he didn''t buy it for that reason, but if I wanted to that would be wonderful.

I loved it and decided to wear it. I''m really quite amazed that he picked out such a perfect one - he didn''t know what my other jewelry would be, but the pearl and crystal tiara really matched my dress and other jewelery (double strand of pearls and Swarovski crystal bracelet). It wasn''t overwhelming at all, and in my opinion was more elegant than princessy. Even though we were in Italy in a castle, I did not want to look like I was pretending to be a princess at all. (That didn''t stop people from telling me I looked like a princess and it was a fairy tale wedding though, lol.)

The day of the wedding, everyone knew the story and they all said that they felt it completed my "look" and was the perfect finishing touch. My FIL was so happy and proud that I wore it as well, which really made me happy too.

Anyway, I guess my point is that people wear tiaras for all different reasons, and I don''t think they will ever be "in" or "out". In my opinion, the important thing is for it to look natural on you and not like you''re wearing it just because you can. If it makes you feel beautiful and happy, wear it. People will remember your happiness and joy more than they will remember your hair accessories.

If you make your hair modern yet suiting the tiara, I think it works great. I personally would love to wear one every day!

But, the photo on the site is hideous to me. TOO much going on all fronts.

I''d have worn a tiara if I had thought it fit my wedding; it just didn''t.

Who cares if it''s outdated or no one does it anymore? If you love it, do it. I had a friend get married who had a huge cream puff ballgown with lace and beading, an ornate tiara, her hair done in a big updo, toting a HUGE bouquet. To me, she looked like a bride from about ten years ago. But she was happy and you can see in her photos how beautiful she felt, and that''s really all that matters.

I got the dress-buying remorse several times after I ordered my dress. I kept saying, ho god, I wish I''d gotten that one... oh god, I wish I''d gotten that one, or maybe that one.... But as soon as I wore it on the big day, that all changed. I was glad I picked it. Looking back, I''m happier with it now than I was then, too.

As a side note, I think your dress is lovely and I think a tiara would fit it PERFECTLY.

Thanks again all.. My hair is actually really really REALLY short and looks amazing with the tiara / dress.
I''ll wear no necklace either as the sleeves are sooo sparkly. I''ll see if i can find a pic to show you all

I wore one...mine was swavorski crystal and will now become a treasured family heirloom.

I have seen pictures of brides with short hair who go with a tiara, which looks very nice. Please do post pictures if you can.

I wore a tiara and I would do it again

I think that may be a key point when wearing a tiara. For me, earrings were a must, so it would have been too much to have a necklace in addition to the tiara. It''s all about balancing it out!

I''ll give you advice I''ve been hearing a lot.. "If you love it, go for it." I have been trying to decide about a tiara, and by the way, your dress is amazing. I had the same issues of worrying if my dress would/does look dated, but you know what? I don''t care now. Every time I put it on, I feel amazing, and that''s what people will see, and that''s what you''ll see in your pictures. If you loved it when you bought it, hoefully in Feb when it comes you will feel the same way. You bought it for a reason, just remember those feelings when doubt creeps in. :)

btw, I would have just about died if I had to wait thtat long for a dress!

I''m planning on wearing a tiara, but I''m going to be super picky about it. The one I''m leaning towards right now is more of a headband kind of thing, but still has a tiara feel.

I say rock it!
