This is why I loathe party affliliations. They are just like gangs. In fact, the entire gang psychology can be understood when taught with a political party analogy.

Now, if society could only use the same philosophy in politics as they do when dismantling gang psychology in it''s formative stages, maybe we could achieve some real political breakthroughs.

I am too lazy to find the article, but it has been estimated that 20% of registered republicans will be voting Dem and a little less than half that will be going the other way

It didn''t used to be that way though. I''m reading an interesting essay about how the decline of party power is precisely the problem with the parties now....the reason that politics seems so much about personalities rather than issues. I''d quote from it, but I left it in the car, so...
Anyway, it is from one of the odd, and interesting books that the DH frequently gets at his history in-services. He said most of them are student-geared and thus pretty worthless to him personally, but he was pretty enthusiastic about this particular book, which is a pretty high-level collection of essays and readings.

When I find it I''ll post some sections for consideration.

That's true, it didn't used to be. However, I think when you have 18 million angry people at least a couple million aren't going to get over it when they so very strongly disagree with the choice. Heh heh.
