I think that the contrast between the platinum and your warm stone could be beautiful. Something to think about with the color is that the whole profile of your diamond shows in both the plain semi-bezel and the one with pave. If you think that would bother you, would you consider a full bezel?
Personally, I like the plain. What makes Sholdt designs--esp the semi-bezel--beautiful to me is their graceful, architectural look. Your diamond is lovely and the setting will really allow it to speak for itself.
