Does anyone have jewellery with moissanite melee?

Hi all!

I have a pair of lab rubies that I plan to set into halos, with a centre bezel in rose gold. I emailed Dan asking a few questions, and he emailed me straight back with his advice, even taking the time to whip up a quick CAD to get an idea of proportions of the halo stones. What a guy!

I'm now trying to decide what to use for the halo stones. I was thinking diamonds (lab or mined), but he has suggested moissanites. I have never seen 2.2mm moissies before, does anyone have moissanite melee? How does it hold up, and compare looks-wise to diamond melee? I have 5.5mm moissies as stud earrings which look sensational, but I've never seen incy wincy ones.

Here is my lab trillion Ruby with Moissanite stones in Rhodium-plated Silver, and I am very pleased with the result.



The Moissys are smaller than 2.2mm though.

However, I do have a pair of 0.5cttw huggie earrings with Moissanites and the stones are very sparkly.



I also have a pair of 6mm OEC Moissanites waiting to be set as interchangeable drops for my diamond huggies, and they look very nice as they are. I can only tell they are Moissanites by using a loupe due to their double refraction.

My band has 3mm warm oec moissanites in it, not much larger than the size you're thinking and they are fantastic! I'm very happy with them

Yes, he'll supply diamonds and moissies, whichever I decide on.

I have moissy melee in a couple of my rings & they sparkle more than diamonds of the same size .The dazzle is breathtaking
