About 5 months ago, DH got me a 3 stone diamond/sapphire ring. I currently wear it with a plain 3mm WG band. I took my wedding band in to get replated today, and my jeweler was showing me a sapphire/diamond channel set eternity band for a STEAL in YG. While I am not a huge fan of YG, considering that the ring is channel set full eternity, you can really only see the YG on the endge of the band. I was wondering if it would look OK with my WG 3 stone. I tried it on in the store, and it really wasn''t noticeable, of course, I don''t have photos (but will take my camera when I go to pick up my WB).

Does anyone mix WG/Platinum with YG on the same finger? Show me please...or just tell me if you think it will look OK.

PS-I would probably only wear them together for special occasions when I really wanted to bling!!

Oh my...no one? Well, DH will be happy, I guess this talks me out of getting the eternity band!

I do, it doesn''t bother me in the slightest. I have YG and WG eternities, both diamond and coloured stones that I mix and match, and I love the contrast. Heck girl if you love it and it''s a steal, go for it! You may even reset it one day in a white metal, who knows. It sounds awesome!

Well, I used to. My ER was YG with WG head and my 5 stone band is WG.

I say go for it as well--I often pair my rolling ring (white, yellow and rose gold) with my platinum half-eternity or platinum sapphire eternity. I like mixing metals. If you decide that you don''t like the yellow gold after wearing it for awhile, you could just have it dipped in rhodium, right?

Get the YG rhodium plated and you will have the look of WG.

Ditto!!!

My mom has a PLT e-ring and a YG WB. But she isn''t the type to care about that kind of thing and neither am I!

I say go for it! You can get/wear a two-tone watch and everyone will think it''s cool that you''re mixing metals!

My wedding ring is a very thin, plain yellow gold.
ER was a 2-tone sapphire halo (YG shank, WG head)

ER is lost...working on a replacement

"placeholder" 3 stone, 3ctw is YG shank, WG head.

The new ER will either be all platinum, or YG shank, platinum head.
