Does anyone have a split shank without pave?

I am having a ring made similar to CharmyPoo's v shaped band, and I am possibly going to have my engagement ring be split shank- if it has no pave will this look odd? Never seen one without. OR! Do you guys think that band would look good with just a single shank ring?

Do you mean the wedding band without pave or the e-ring without pave?

This will give you an idea if you are talking about the wedding band. Mind you - it isn't polished or anything here so it will look better.


If you are talking about the e-ring with no pave but the wedding band has pave, I think it will look just fine and very pretty

My ering is a split shank, without pave.


Not a great pic, but hopefully it will help a bit. This is with a made to match solid band. It conforms to the shape of the split shank.

It actually isn't plain. My wedding band is the pave one in the original post. Steven Kirsh showed me the version without pave first to make sure the metal work was a fit and that I liked it! Step 2 was pave.

I am talking about the engagement ring to have no pave. I rarely wear jewelry, and the v shaped ring that you have is very similar to the one I will be getting which will be my engagement ring. Kinda the other way around in looks, but my wedding ring will be what most girls get as their engagement, we just don't have enough to spend right now for that. I love the pave. But...I don't know if it'd be too much sparkle to have it on both rings. Is it uncomfortable having diamonds on the side?
