Does anyone go to auctions of seized jewelry?

I got a flyer in my mailbox for an auction of jewelry seized by the IRS/police. The flyer is advertising various jewelry pieces and watches, and also says there will be certified diamonds. Most of the jewelry the flyer shows is gaudy, but if the price is right, the pieces might be worth it for the value of the stones/metals.

Has anyone gone to this type of auction? Are there good buys to be made?

I have, we have them quite often here. I have never seen anything go for a 'deal', quite the opposite, the hammer prices for the couple I went to were absurd, almost B&M retail.
I have only seen a couple of diamonds with grading certs and they were IGI or a simple appraisal from an appointed GG.
The buyers are always Indians or Asians, I don't know why, just an observation.
