Do you think this is too much for my hand?

For some reason I can't upload the photo's so you'll have to excuse the links....

I have a size 8 finger, and wide hand with chubby short fingers.

I'm not a fan of the baquettes and for the last year or so have been wearing just the curved anniversary band and the solitare. I'm STRONGLY considering getting a second curved anniversary band to put on the other side for our 13th anniversary and taking the baquette and round wrap and repurposing it.

So back tot he question at hand: Do you think this is too much for my hand? It seems to overwhelm my finger I think.

First, I LOVE your Boxer! What a beauty!

I don't think your set is too much for your hand, especially if you're thinking of getting rid of the wrap and having only your engagement ring and two curved bands--I think that would look beautiful.

I think the way it is in the pic is a bit much- but I think it'd look great and not overwhelming with 2 round curved bands and your ering.

I too have short fingers and can't do a really big stack either - it just looks too squished together which is a bummer because I love stacks :(sad

Thanks for fixing the links :) into pictures.

My boxer is my baby! His name is Leroy Jethro Gibbs Parker. He has a whole album on my picasa :) **edited by moderator. please upload photos to forum to comply with policies**

I am really leaning towards the curved bands only....and after showing hubby the different looks he's leaning that way too.

I am going to take the wrap and salvage the rounds, and then getting the bands and baquettes for a credit towards a custom piece....

IF someone could photoshop the other two bands out and then mirror the anniversary band we could get a kinda sorta looks like photo....I could but not on this computer....LOL

I agree! It would look beautiful :appl:

A NCIS fan, huh!!! Love your baby's name. I like your ring set. I am a stacking girl. I also think it would look really great with
two curved bands as well!

I don't think it's too much Swetty but I think it's too tight. When we have large short finger it's important to take 1/4 or 1/2 point over usualy wearring to avoid the folds of the skin. This is my problem too. I'm a 9 size and when I decide to wear 3 rings I resize it to 9.25 and they are really thin. For me it's the only problem when I looked to your pics cause the rings are really beautiful together.

I'm not sure if they are too tight, or if it was the way I was holding my hand, because the bands spin now at a size 8...but I suppose you could be right...maybe that is the issue. My other issue is the baquettes are constantly DIRTY and it drives me nuts! I feel like i'm cleaning the ring every 2 hours..

I actually love the whole enchilada - all the rings together get my vote. It's a real signature look to me!~

It does seem like a lot for your hand ... only you can say if its "too much"! I think I would prefer your solitaire alone with the one curved band. I think center stones POP more when you can see the outline of the top of the stone against skin. When you sandwich a solitare in between two blingy bands, things just start to get sparkly and blurry and mixed all in together. JMHO!

Sometimes *simple* is best. Especially w/curvy hands ... I can speak from personal experience there! I've tried SOO MANY TIMES to stack even a super thin pink pave band with my set -- w/unflattering results. The more bands, the more finger pudge squishage. And my rings aren't too tight AT ALL. Some fingers are just meatier than others ... and in the wrong spots. A ring would have to ORBIT around my finger in order to not squish some pudge. Not saying that's the case for you ... you're several sizes smaller than me! Just, from the picture, am imaging how just the two rings would look & liking THAT.

I agree with this! Technically, my ring size is 5.5, but my engagement ring is a size 6, and my wedding band is 6.5--I got them in larger sizes because I don't want any squishage going on.

rparker--I LOVE the pictures of Leroy! He is so handsome. We really want a Boxer, but we're pretty much full to capacity with our Pit Bull mix, Shih Tzu, and three kitties. :cheeky:

I also think the 2 curve stack ring would look lovely with your engagement ring. =)

I think it might be too much with four rings. I have short fingers and don't like it when the area from the palm to the knuckle is almost completely covered. I think it makes them look shorter.

Honestly, I think it is a bit too much. I don't like the bands extending more than half of my finger before the knackle.

I think the 4 rings is a bit much. I would probably do a thinner curved band.

Thank you everyone for your kind and honest feedback. I've decided to definately do the two curved bands. In the mean time I'm going to solder the Ering and single curved band together to prevent spinning and rubbing. :Up_to_something:

Oooohhhh that'll look stunning!! Please post pics when you have it!!

Me too.

I think it's lovely. It has a beautiful vintage look to it, and I think it has a wonderful presence on your finger.

Ooo! An assignment! I tweaked on it a bit. I'm just a P-Shop dabbler, but ...

Like this? I think it would be pretty... :appl:

That looks awesome!

Yes. It covers too much of your finger - up to the knuckle. Perhaps just the engagement ring and the curve bands. Let us see what you have decided! :)

As someone who has very small hands, take this as it is intended. Yes, it is too much but that is my taste. I prefer simpler. I wanted a wider wedding band but ended up with a 3mm one as any wider would just take up too much finger real estate. I would also love to be able to wear a diamond anniversary ring on my finger as well but my fingers are just too short. The good news is that both you and I have 9 more fingers we can adorn!

Yes, imho it is too much coverage that in turn creating unwanted cleavage. Less is more.

BTW, excellent photoshopping! Just what the doctor ordered.....

cheers--Sharon

That looks really nice. Great Photo-shopping!

I am a NCIS fan as well.

I think it will look great with the 2 curved bands. I have short fingers too and don't care for something that covers a lot of my finger.

The four rings together look a bit uncomfortable. I think I have to agree with another gal who said they look too tight. One or two 2 or 2.5mm rings together give you a width of 4-5mm. Put 4 2mm rings together, and that's 8mm. Wider rings need to be a bit larger than thin rings. If you plan to wear all of them together, you need to have them sized slightly larger to accommodate for the extra width.
