Do you skip over anyone's posts here?

Yes I do! But only those from inanely boring posters.

But I guess you now know that I don't skip over yours Ken. Perhaps that was your intention - to see who didn't answer the question!
 
Isn't this why we have "friends and foes" now? And ignore function?

My of the posters I tend to ignore don't post here anymore. Of course on the flip side, many of my favorite posters don't either. You win some, you lose some.
 
There was one person in particular who used to rub me the wrong way, but I don't think they post here anymore.
 
I rarely remember the names of people who rub me the wrong way, so I'd have a difficult time purposely ignoring them even if I wanted to.

I do, however, always remember the names of posters that I enjoy reading, and I'll often click on a thread that I wouldn't otherwise be interested in if I see one of my favorites is the most recent poster.

I do this in real life, as well. It's like I immediately push people I dislike or don't care for out of my brain completely. It's actually quite nice living here in la la land. :))
 
Nope. There isn't anyone here that would bother me that much.

No. Actually I like most of the posters here.... If I disagree with someone's views, I will read what they post and try to take something positive away from it... God how boring would it be, if we all agreed, had the same views and outlooks... Snooze fest!!!! :snore: :snore:
 
There is only one person who ever made me wish, no pray for an ignore function.

in the political threads there were one or 2 that got me more than a little steamed, but if they asked for help in RT or hangout then and now id be happy to help them.
I can very strongly disagree on an issue or 5 with someone without disliking them, sadly some cant.

Do I systematically avoid reading particular posters' thoughts? Nope. But I don't read every thread on this board...that would take forever! I'm more apt to read a thread if it's by a poster I particularly like/respect or if it's about a subject I'm interested in. And I tend to stick to particular forums (Colored Stones lately, though earlier I spent more time in here, BWW, and Rocky Talky).

I get really irritated sometimes and really disgusted sometimes, and I tell myself I cannot forgive but usually I forget who they were anyway. There's no one here right now that I skip over.
 
There are a couple of people who never reply to anything I post in their thread so I avoid them usually.

Karl, I feel exactly the same way. If I disagree with someone in one thread, I try not to let that carry over to other (unrelated) threads. And, like you, there was just one person who made me pray for an ignore function! Fortunately, she doesn't post here anymore. :))
 
The only posts I ignore are the ones written in text speak. How hard is to spell YOU instead of U? Makes me feel like Im reading a post by a 9 year old.
 
I don't usually ignore anyone, and I like reading people's differing views. There's only been one person whose "advice" to a one-time poster about a health issue made my mouth fall open. She rarely posts here though (at least in the sections I read on a regular basis). I don't ignore her posts but I remember what she told that one person a while ago, and it rubs me the wrong way.

The posters who really rubbed me the wrong way don't post very often any more. There were two in particular who were especially rude, but now when either of them occasionally post, their comments are sugar coated like a donut. And like a donut, part of it missing b/c they're not including the nasty parts they once would have inserted.
 
No, I don't skip over anyone's posts, but what I do like to avoid is controversy. So if a few posters are getting into it? I just hit my back button and chose something else to read.
 
No posters, but subjects. Sometimes you can tell just by the subject that it is going to cause someone to be offended.

I also tend to not open threads that are vague in the subject. Like "Help Please". Usually when I do I read through and find out at the end that I cant help and the poster(s) didnt know what they wanted to begin with.
 
I know I get skipped quite a lot (because I will ask a question, and receive no replies, even in a very active thread), but I don't care. The people that are nice and/or like me well enough always answer!

There are a few people I tend to skim over because they type ridiculously long replies to a very simple question. I don't need to know your life story and I don't want to hear the same stuff from you forty times just because you feel the need to repeat it every chance you get. That gets old.
 
In all my time on PS there has only been one poster that I would even consider doing this too and luckily for me they no longer post here.
 
I am embarrassed to say that yes, there are one or two posters I tend to gloss over if they post on a thread I am reading and that I am disinclined to click on their threads. It is mostly their tone of writing that clash with me.

On the other hand, there are threads I will read simply because of the original or last person (I never skip Richard Wise's posts, for example, since they are very educational).
 
Naw, I haven't been with PriceScope long enough to be at that point.

I just read the subject line and if im intrigued...i read, listen, learn, and comment. :))
 
I don't skip over anybody's posts - but I'll admit that there are a few posters who I usually don't agree with, but not to the point that I can't tolerate reading their posts.

Yssie, you answer my posts so I guess I am still fine... I always feel insecure about my English. Thank you for reading mine!

I am not always on the Hangout, and do not have the time to read all posts, but I usually read posts of PS-ers who post on my Forum (Colored Stones) and have been very supportive and courteous to other PS-ers there. I have noticed that they behave the same way here. Or people whose professions interest me, like teachers or scientists.

Crasu, obviously I'm not Yssie, but I wanted to chime in regarding something you wrote. I think all of us are aware (and fully understand) that English isn't everyone's native language. I think she was talking about posts that are written in text-speak.
