Do you rotate your solitaire diamond rings?

I see a lot of ladies have multiple solitaire like diamond rings. Do you wear them on your left hand in place of your engagement ring and rotate them? Do you wear them on your right hand with your enegagement ring on the left? I collect bands or smaller rings because I like to stack both with bands on the left and right hands..but I always wear my engagement ring. I’m just curious.

I have two ‘solitaire’ style ERs that I swap in/out depending on my mood - a MRB and an OEC. I do not wear them at the same time - on the same or opposing hands.

I don’t have the large stones many of the wonderful members here have but I do swap out bands and “engagement” rings; I’m very fortunate to have several looks I can choose from. I very, very rarely wear the originals and pick what to wear based on my mood, outfit, and what I’ll be doing that day. Thankfully, my husband doesn’t mind at all and says he just wants me to be happy and to wear what I want.

I have a few soli rings, and several bands. One soli, I reset into a stacked baguette semi-mount, the other is in its original setting, and never gets worn. These two were heirlooms.
I have worn the semi-mount on my RH, but I’m keeping it for my son.
My grandmother’s set fits on my pinkie, and I will wear it, from time to time (both rings on my pinkie). The shield ring I wear on my RH, and swap that out with my 5.5mm Anni That DH gave me for my birthday.
As for my left hand, I will only wear my WR & my ER from DH. I have a thin, anni he gave me for our 1st Anniversary, that I stack on my left hand with my original set.
My RHR’s get rotated, but my Left hand remains the same.

I have a lot of bands that I rotate and even add to my left hand stack but I always wear my engagement ring. I’m trying to figure out how I can get an OEC and not substitute my engagement ring. I just had that setting remade and my husband...although tolerant...will really think I bought the farm..I’m thinking of Christmas time so have lots of time to decide...

Does the OEC have to be in a ring? you could do a pendant? Or even a bracelet if you wanted to be able to see it.

Oooooh...Great idea! :appl:Does anyone have an OEC in a pendant or a bracelet? If you do..please post a pic! Thanks!

I have a lot of bands that I stack with my ering. I change up my left hand stack almost daily. On my right hand I have several different larger rings but I hardly ever wear them. I usually wear a right hand stack of bands. I like a stack because it feels low key and casual and doesn't compete with my left hand. I have thought about selling the larger rhrs but I always think, well maybe...

Quick & dirty pic of my 1 ct OEC pendant.
Was in a YG ring but I had it put in this stock halo setting. I think I want to have the bale removed and have it so the chain goes thru the back of that makes sense? The current bale is a little fussy for me.

I do the same thing..just mainly stack bands on my right hand because my life is pretty casual and my friends are not into jewelry..I mainly wear my colored right hand rings when I go out to dinner with my family on the weekend. I do have smaller regular rings so I’ll stack them on my right hand with bands..I like to stack in threes..

Is there a love button?? It’s so pretty! I had to put a different bale on one of my pendants..just a plain old bale because the one that went through the back kept flipping the pendant. I have another small Tiffany solitaire pendant that’s set in the chain that I wear daily and that never flips or slides on the chain which I like.

Pretty! I would have been afraid to wear the cuff and lose it! :geek2:
What are the color on your pieces? I noticed a lot of OEC’s are warmer in color but they appear bright white. Is it the cut?

I believe the cuff was an I. DK made it and it was actually a bit hard to get on, so I wasn’t afraid of losing it.

The OEC in my pendent is an M! The seller had it listed as an L I believe, but I recut it (it had a chip) and sent it off to be certed. It came back a M I1 and I was shocked. It’s a beautiful stone and thought it was a K/L SI2.

I can relate! I’ve gone through an evolution of ERs but have settled on my current MRB. But I don’t mind switching all my ERs around if the mood suits me. That said, I absolutely love antique cuts, so my solution was to add to my rhr options. I just received my stone from LAD temporarily set in a stuller setting, but the plan is to put her in an antique or repro halo setting soon. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the solitaire to get to know the stone better.

Depending on on the size of your stone and if you enjoy colored stones, you could always easily repurpose the solitaire setting. Funny thing is, while that seem to quiet any concerns my DH may have had about the temp setting, I don’t think it’s dawned on him that it’ll mean I’m shopping for the right colored stone to set. ;)2:lol-2:

How about an oec in an Art Deco setting? Those can pass as rhr’s!
To answer your question. No. I don’t rotate my ering’s. I have quite a few that I
Could. But I have separation anxiety when I leave my ering behind.

@nala I have the same! I feel uncomfortable if I don’t have my wedding set on if I’m wearing jewelery.

It is a beautiful stone! Who was able to recut an OEC? Wouldn’t that change the overall cut? I’m new to this so be kind!

I saw some pretty stones on Loupe Troup! I would love to have a padparadscha sapphire!

I’m the same way about my engagement ring and my studs..I have other jewelry to wear but I wear them for a day and have to go back to my studs. I feel I have to justify my other jewelry by rotating them but I can only wear them a day and go back to my studs. The engagement ring I wear every day but will substitute my eternity band which I usually wear as a wedding band and wear that on my right hand.

Me too..but mainly my engagement ring because my wedding band is a new eternity band because my wedding band got damaged by a jeweler..so I don't have a sentimental attachment to it. I do like it a lot. We need more time..:kiss2:

I’m having a little problem now that I see all your beautiful rings! I want EVERYTHING! I do want it to be a right hand ring..I’m hoping the arrow hits me around Christmas because that’s when I can justify buying something! My family thinks I’m crazy! How much could a girl want!
