Not that long ago we had green tomato sauce here, and it just looked wrong - I don''t even want to think how much artifical colour would be in that.

Green sounds weird but purple and blue sound terrible

Yeah it was supposed to get kids to eat more of it because that''s when the lycopene was getting more well known...

My mom bought some green ketchup and my dad refused to touch it. He said, "That''s not ketchup. Ketchup is red."

I had no problems eating it...I mean, they add all kinds of food coloring to red ketchup...

My kids LOVE ketchup. They will eat anything if I put a blob of ketchup as "dipping sauce." I''m not sure if they''d eat colored ketchup. They would have thought it was funny to look at. . .maybe I should add some food coloring to red ketchup and see what my kids do!

I have no idea what sparked it. I guess just general talk about ketchup.

I think it was my vegan friend asking about BBQ sauce the other day and we started talking about sauces, she said something about how she loves ketchup, and BAM! Then I had memories of my mom buying it because she thought it was funny, and my dad refusing to eat it because it wasn't ketchup. So until it was gone, my mom and I ate green ketchup and my dad ate the red...

I remember purple and green... they sold it not too long ago... maybe 2 or 3 years.

Kind of a threadjack... but does anyone remember the flavored Ranch salad dressings for kids? They had pizza ranch and like 3 other flavors. I LOVED the pizza kind! Wish they still sold it.
