My cat Ferris has a fan page!

I should make one for Cleo and they can be bestest friends

I certainly have plenty of pictures of her!
Yes! Ditto!

My new camera = kitteh pic overload!

I honestly don''t know how anybody found me, because I don''t THINK I posted my real name anywhere in here (at least not my whole name), but I certainly don''t mind! Some people are just good at digging

I think D.O.G. and Murphy need fan pages as well!

YES.
I think I will have to do that today. Maybe have daily pictures of Cleo being her lazy self.

I''m too lazy for that MP.

Okay we''ve totally derailed this thread. Sorry TG.

I am not very good at sleuthing

I agree about John Mayer. His updates used to just be funny but now he''s all angry all the time. Tila Tequila is another ridiculous Twitter-er.

It''s to the point where the local radio station gives updates about celebrity tweets

If I really cared, I would sign up for twitter! I don''t really need to know that Miley Cyrus is eating a banana right now.

Unless banana is a euphemism for something else

I finally caved in and opened a FB account after a number of people repeatedly asked me to join. I looked up one woman I went to elementary and high school with, and found two dozen or more other people that we either went to school with or worked at the church with as teenagers. Then I realized, I don''t want to reconnect with any of these people! I''m really not interested in their lives. I felt crummy about that for a moment and then thought of all the people I know and keep up with now and I quickly got over it. Then my BFF of forty years called and I asked her if she''d be interested in hearing from any of them again and she gave me a funny and resounding "hell no!"

Then I was totally over it.

There''s something weird about people having small talk with others and having friends outside of one particular circle reading comments from total strangers. But maybe that''s just me.....

Ooo, I found Maisie!!

I don''t even have a facebook account and the updates annoy me. EVERY time I talk to my mom, she tells me what everyone else has updated on their page. I get "Do you remember so and so?" Even if I say no, she goes on and on about what''s going on with them now. She''s constantly launching into someone''s life story as told on FB.

MP, check around all the places you think it might be. I know I saw your whole name somewhere. I don''t remember where though. I get kind of lost in space looking for so many different people.

Ha, sadly true.

I never post that kind of stuff to my IRL friends. Heck, I don't think I even post too much to my PS Mom friends. But I love hearing about the kids from the PS Moms whose kids Amelia is 'growing up' with. Most of the stuff is junk that no one is interested in except other toddler moms. But I have an account for *just* that reason. It allows me to be the cool, hip mom to my IRL friends and they are spared any updates on my kid.
I will tell all of you that have kids that one doesn't have to be a 'toddler mom' to be interested.

As someone who's chosen not to have kids, I really do enjoy hearing all the updates and watching the PS kids grow.

It's a privilege for me to be able to live vicariously through you gals.

I really think it depends on the connection to the individual. I am less interested in hearing some of this from my coworkers because I don't really have 'connections' to their kids. But on PS, all of you are people I've spent a LOT of time getting to know, and we've all grown together in sharing in each others' happy lifestages.

Nothing brings a smile to my face more than seeing the latest video of Amelia, or the VERY adorable santa-capped Jake (Mrs. Salvo's handsome son). Watching so many of you handle the challenges of new motherhood and seeing the joy you take in the small things really just deepens the respect I already have for you.

So yeah, I enjoy hearing that someone's elated their kid finally went on the potty, because I've seen the hard work and effort that's gone into achieving that progress. Most of you also have a good sense of balance in understanding that highlights are more interesting than hour-by-hour play-by-plays, and that makes a big difference too.

We are joined by the same passion and as such, we might want to know more about one another. It is like traveling abroad and suddenly bumping into a fellow American - won''t you ask where this person is coming from, does he have kids, etc. You have something in common already, and you are among people who don''t speak your language or may not understand you. Same with PS I guess.
I have kids and enjoy reading about other kids but I also have a cat and enjoy reading about other people''s cats. Especially since I have very specific outlook on neutering, etc. I''d like to get other people''s opinion.
I am sure that all PS-ers who have kids and cats will appreciate my feelings. Yesterday my 6-year old squirted a tube of toothpaste on my cat. It was all covered with the paste. His only explanation was, "I did not make a good choice". Has anyone ever tried holding a cat in a bathtub trying to wash toothpaste off her?

I like and enjoy them for the most part, except the moms on my feed who only post endless crap about their kids'' eating and potty habits. Oy!

Seriously, no one wants to read that Billy went potty on the big boy toilet today, lol.

I hear ya!!! I CAN''T STAND people that update their status every 5 minutes and it''s constantly about their baby. I mean, I know that the world revolves around your first child to a new Mum, but come on, there must be something else in life to write! No matter how cute your kid is, no-one wants to hear about them ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I see so many young moms whose world has dwindled to a child. They do not sleep well at night, everyone is at work during the day, and they stay with the child and all their life is now this child. I can understand why they might want to tell other people about their child. And who else would listen? DH''s come home tired and may not be invested in talks about poop, everyone else, too, is working and has no time. At least here they may find other people who went through the same experience and can understand their feelings.
In general, it is a very hard work to be a stayhome mom. I am very happy that I have a job.
