Yeah, I know..random question of the day. My hubby and I were talking about it and he isn''t a fan of cold leftovers (pizza, etc). I''ll just grab stuff out of the fridge and eat it cold.

What about you? And if you eat leftovers cold, what kind of stuff tastes good cold?

I like pasta with pesto cold ... hot it''s a nice entree ... cold it''s a lovely "salad". I make a version with sundried tomatos & pine nuts & pesto & parm & that kind of pasta with all the lacy ruffles.

I''ll eat cold pizza ... or cold fried chicken (kinda picnic-ish) ...

No I like my leftovers nice and hot!!!

i eat cold pizza straight from the fridge and for some odd reason it kinda irritates me when people insist that it must be heated.
''aren''t you gonna heat that up?''

grrrrrr

Yum, cold pizza, cold chinese food. I''ll eat any leftovers cold!

I cant think of anything left over I prefer hot... I can eat it all cold! I like hot sodas too... im weird!

cold pizza and cold leftover green noodle casserole. I''ve got no idea how to make it but it''s a bit like a meat lasagne in casserole form (meat, tomato sauce, and green noodles), but with a mix of specialty swiss cheeses on top instead of italian cheeses. It is sooo good cold the next day I could eat it until my stomach popped! Somehow heating it back up again just isn''t as good. Hmm I really need to get the recipe from my mom.

Also our Greek orzo, beef, tomato, and olive oil casserole is yummy cold, although I''ll often warm it up just slighty. Too much heating makes the beef chewy. You guys have got to try this dish! 1 lb stew meat, 2 cans chopped tomatoes, 3/4 cup olive oil in casserole dish at 350 for 10-15 minutes. Stir in one box of slow cooking orzo (Barilla is the best), cook 30 minutes stirring halfway through. I know it sounds odd with no seasoning and so much olive oil but it is amazingly good. Faster cooking orzo makes it pasty though.

I heat up virtually everything with the VERY occasional exception of a piece of cold pizza. (Which I usually eat impatiently cold while I wait for the other pieces to heat up in the microwave

I like my leftovers cold. Hubby, on the otherhand, must have it piping hot.

i hate cold leftovers, nothing grosser to me than a big mass of congealed cold whatever.

cold food just looks icky too because typically all the sauce or whatever is a big solid block.

i always heat things up, esp pizza!!! it doesn't have to be boiling hot to eat but it just has to be at least warm. greg loves cold pizza for breakfast, haha. typical male!

I hate cold leftovers too. I think it''s gross. I like most things piping hot. It''s not hot enough til it''s steaming. hehehe.

cold? not usually... almost never really LOL

I eat all leftovers cold and FI teases me that I''m eating it raw. He thinks it''s gross and won''t eat anything cold.

I''m the same way. Hubby likes everything cold. I don''t get it because heating brings out the flavor in leftovers otherwise they taste like congealed goo to me.

I personally don''t like them cold...even pizza I prefer warmed up.

I have to say that I''ve never thought of eating leftovers cold. Ewww...A little yucky IMO!!! Even if it''s the slightest bit cold I have to reheat it more. When my son was a baby he hated his food hot or even warm. Soooo, cold baby food it was...Nothing nicer than cold mashed potatoes mixed with avocado. That was his FAVE!!!!

UGH...I ALWAYS have to heat up leftovers. I agree with Mara, the icky congealed-ness is gross to me!

Well, certain pastas do taste good cold to me...as deco said, they become "salads."

But I have to admit, for me it's probably more out of laziness. Nuked pizza doesn't taste good to me. I like to reheat food by stove or real oven. So I'll sit there and be happy with eating it cold...but once in awhile I heat it up after a bite or two and think "wow, that is SO much better.

I do like cold fried chicken. And room temp sticky rice that has been in the cooker. I can cut up a piece of steak cold and have it on a sandwich.

Hot sodas njc?

LOL...you are not as bad as my husband though. He loves warm, flat watered down coke. If we leave it in the cupholder, he'll come back and drink it the next day. EW EW EW.

HI:

Definately cold! Left over pizza, KFC, roast beef, turkey, whatever cold cold cold. Of course my Dh thinks I live in some alternate universe....but the smell of rewarming food somehow nauseates me.......

cheers--Sharon

The only things I like cold are drinks, stuff from the freezer and fruits and veggies. If it was originally cooked, I''m gonna nuke it before I eat it.

Cold KFC = Heaven

Cold meats = yes, cold pasta = yes, cold pizza = yuck!

I am oh so NOT high maintenance. Savory or sweet doesn''t matter I can eat them cold- much to the dismay of my english mother. Must be a result of growing up on a tropical isle- my sisters are the same. Cold callaloo or cold apple pie makes no difference to me.

Eeew! I can''t see eating cold food when there''s a microwave right next to my fridge.

Depends...I really only like cold roast chicken or fried chicken, maybe pizza...but I think most things taste better at least warmed up...

Just pizza and turkey.

I like cold steak, chicken, and fish. Things that will get overcooked and nasty when microwaved.

But noodles, soup, rice, etc., I like warmed.

Some things I don''t like at all leftover. Like deep fried things, which get soggy no matter what you do, even if you reheat in the toaster oven. Unfortunately, this just encourages me to eat it all at the first sitting

I actually far prefer pizza cold...

Nothing like a cold roast beef or roast chicken sandwich. mmmmmm....yummmmmm.

Everything else I prefer heated up.

I always joke with people that I''m going to start a pizza business where we serve cold pizza. I love cold pizza... yum. I''m hungry.
