do you ladies care about the Super Bowl?

NOPE! If I am invited to a party sometimes I will go if I know there are people I like to chat w/about non football stuff. Sometimes I like football but it is usually college football. I was invited to my cousins party but I rather just stay in today where I can stay in my pj's. hehe

LOL! I'm still not quite out of mine, and I AM going to a Stupor Bowl party, so I'd better get crackin'. At least mine is only about 1 mile from my house. Otherwise, I'd probably opt to stay in the PJs. ;))

I luv ya woman! You cracked me up, yes get crackin! : :D

Not me, but my daughter cares. My husband brought her up on football. I have to say that although he can be a real cad, he gave up going to the sports bar he had planned to go to with guys he usually goes with when they didn't want our daughter to join them. He had promised our daughter he'd watch the game with her, so he's taking her to another sports bar-just the two of them. She's only 18 and doesn't drink, but this place is open to people of all ages.

Their favorite teams were eliminated ages ago, but they are diehard football fans, so they wouldn't miss this!

OH YES!!!

I grew in Pittsburgh in the 70s. Football was not a *game*, it was an *institution*!!!

Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Mean Joe Greene... and of course, Chuck Noll!

Because I am the only person on the planet without a TV I was *hoping* someone would invite me to a Super Bowl Party, but instead we are gonig to camp out at the bar in the local gym and watch it there. Big TVs all over and the food and wine are pretty good. I even dug my Steelers T-shirt out of the closet for this evening!

I think I pretty much just watch it for the commercials. I hate football season because that's when the boyfriend hogs the TV all Saturday for college games and Sundays for NFL games and I can't get him to do anything else.

DJ...your 70's T shirt still fit you??..

I'm pregnant and have a pantry full of junk food and the house to myself. That's my idea of a good time! lol Being from MN, I am rooting for the Steelers, can't let those packers take our trophy!

Well, I most look forward to the PUPPY BOWL, but as a one television household, I don't get to watch it every year if DH has something else he'd like to watch.

Since neither Da Bears nor the Patriots are playing today, I'm not AS interested as I might be. But I like pro football. We're having some friends over to watch, and I think it will be a fun time.

You mean the really boring stuff before the new episode of Glee?

I had to do a search on, "The Puppy Bowl", because I had never heard of it until I read this thread. At first it was going over my head; I didn't really tune in to its being a major show of some sort.

I found out just a few minutes ago that The Green Bay Packers were one of the only two teams to offer Michael Vick a place on their team. (My daughter told me.) That settled it for me. I will be rooting for the The Steelers! The Green Bay Packers are evil.

I also am from a town where football is an institution. My Brownies will probably never make it there, but thank the lord I've got Buckeye Football to fall back on. Going over to watch the game with a bunch of DHs friends and their wives :)

I despise Sh*tsburgh...therefore will be cheering for the Packers...or whichever team will win me money on my football betting squares!

Is the Super Bowl today?

It is the best time all year to drive the Los Angeles freeway or go to Disneyland.

Until I read this, I didn't even know who was playing, if that tips you off to my feelings about the Superbowl, lol! Hubby will watch it and we are letting our 6 year old son stay up to watch a little bit of it....why can't it be a Superbowl Saturday so he didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to go to school??

I hope that every shred of evidence that is fairly gathered against Ben Roethlisberger will be used to prosecute him for all crimes of which he is accused and that his celebrity status does not help him to escape the consequences of any illegal actions he has performed. My statement about convicted dog torturer and mass murderer Michael Vick stands.

It's the same in the UK when there's a World Cup (soccer) game on TV. You can go to places that would normally have queues and park right at the door. Yay for sport!

The commercials are hilaaaariouussssss!
