But I have a hard time visuallizing what it looks like with a stone. And I''d like to see a side profile hand shot.

Does anyone have this setting?

How hard would it be to find a stone for this one? I''m so new at this, but I really want a splint shank setting and not sure whether to choose the setting or the stone first! Yikes. Also not sure I want to go with LOGR for my first purchase, but I''m trying to gather info.

I saw that one the other night, it's a new setting, and to be honest, it's not one of my favorites. The shank diamonds look very very tiny, and I don't care for how the basket looks. Mochi purchased a similar setting with triple split shank and a halo of larger diamonds, and it was much nicer than this one.

This one is much nicer IMO (and I have it as well). It's a split shank and will hold a 6mm round which you can easily find somewhere. Check for it on auction, and sometimes he lists the same exact setting with a varity of buy it now prices. I wouldn't buy the one from this particular listing, too expensive, and you can find it cheaper. I upgraded the diamonds on it and it looks very elegant.

Yes, this is that version of that setting which is much much nicer and it is a triple shank.

Thanks for the info. I pretty much decided to pass on this one before I got any replies. I do like the triple shank of Mochi''s. What does she mean about no grey stones?

T_lover: the one you posted is pretty but I prefer a larger split in the shank. Something that is a bit more obvious.

I shall keep looking. I might have to pay attention to the price variations in these settings I suppose. Thanks for the tip.

She means no diamonds that look like "frozen spit." That''s a fun phrase we like to use around here to refer to a cloudy ugly diamond.

That''s a much nicer setting and the diamonds look larger and they''re probably full cut, which they do not tend to be on the LOGR''s unless you upgrade.
