Do you feel comfortable asking favors from others?

On one hand I''d say that I don''t have any problems asking for favors since I don''t recall ever having to THINK about it. The last favor I asked was a few months ago when my car wouldn''t start at my best friend''s house. I asked her husband to take a look at it. 7 hours later my DH and her DH finished repairing the car. I felt terrible for wasting his day off. But, it didn''t strike me as inappropriate to ask him. Prior to that, I can''t remember asking a favor unless you count asking Nana and Papa to watch JT. But they don''t consider it a favor and neither do we.

I seem to borrow a lot of potatoes from my neighbour--we have a good gig going; we help each other out when needed and we just offer our selves to help each other, prn. But outside of them I never ask for help or stuff--I just hate the feeling others may feel obligated......

I don''t like asking people for favors, I don''t like to bother or inconvenience others. But there have been a few times when it''s been an emergency and I had no other options but to ask someone to help me out. But I really try to avoid it. And I do favors for others, I understand what it''s like to be in a bind and don''t mind helping out. I guess it helps that I''ve never felt I was being taken advantage of, and the people I''ve helped out have always been very grateful.
