Do you eat dinner at the dining table, or on the couch?

Both. I prefer the dining room table sometimes so that we can talk and not be distracted--- but we don''t mind eating on the couch, and sometimes at the computer. Naughty. I know.

We eat at the table every night.

Growing up my parents had a TV in every room, and we''d watch it during dinner. DH and I have never had a TV, and I don''t miss it one bit!

We do like to watch movies or Hulu after dinner, but never, ever is a computer open during dinner.

Sadly, I would say at least half the week, we eat at our desks. But, when we are at home we absolutely eat in front of the TV. We get little time together because we both work so much and different schedules, so we try to bask in combined leisure whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I grew up in a family where we ate dinner together at the table every night, so our family likes to do that too - we listen to music at dinnertime.

On the odd night that my husband is late coming home, though, I let my son eat in front of the TV if he wants, and then I eat dinner with DH when he gets home.

When I first moved in with him he did not actually have a dining table. We bought one about 14 months later, but by that time we were in the habit of eating in front of the couch. I have found it to be a v3ery difficuly habit to break, particularly as the table is always covered with *stuff*.

However, on the odd occasion we do eat at the table, I find that we connect a lot more and I feel a lot happier. I want to start doing it more.

Once we have kids we will definitely break the habit. I think it is important family time.

We eat at the table to chat and catch up on our day. It''s a wonderful thing. TV during dinner as a regular thing is not for us, although I don''t mind it on if there is a sporting event on the background that TGuy wants to keep an eye on. He pretty much only watches sports or movies anyway. I don''t watch TV at all.

We will eat on the couch on movie night since we''re not talking anyway.

BF and I always eat at the couch. We have a table, but it''s higher up than a regular table and we only have two chairs. We also don''t have cable, so we''re always looking at something on our laptops.
I''m not sure if we''ve ever actually eaten at the table, I know I sat down once at the table but it was for a project BF was doing and I was sitting across from a stuffed penguin.

I''m pretty sure that BF is on the same page with me, so that when we have kids we will sit at the table every night with them.
