My husband does not want our dog (small to mid sized) anywhere near our bedroom or bed. I know alot of people who let their pets sleep with them. I was just curious what''s "normal"

Guilty as charged.

All of our furbabies love snuggle time in our bed. I swear, they''re like kids that way. If we mistakenly leave our door cracked we''ll wake up to all four of them in our bed. We don''t really allow any of them to sleep with us in our bed, but D.O.G sleeps in our room with us usually. It''s kind of annoying because he''s really restless at night and he wakes us up pretty regularly. Unfortunately we just moved into a new place and we''re going through an adjustment period with him where we basically have to housebreak him all over again. So we''re not comfortable leaving him to his own devices at night.

Our cats sleep in bed with us--one even likes to get under the covers!

They way it works in our house is that the bed actually belongs to Darth Vader, an 8 lbs min pin, and we are just lucky that he is so gracious as to share it with us.

We share a bed with our pets also...when our kitty Hobbes was still with us, he slept at my feet every night (still miss that!) and our Chihuahua Max sleeps with us, under the covers...he usually chooses either me or DH to snuggle to all night...funny how he takes turns! Unless someone is sick, the he''ll snuggle that person all night...and day! he is a professional snuggler and HATES getting out of bed in the morning!

We have a 45-pound dog that likes to get under the covers and spoon. So, um, yeah... we let our dog sleep with us.

OMG that is just like my little guy! So cute, I love small dogs.

Cats are allowed, dogs are not.

When I was a single lady, the dogs always slept with me. My partner prefers non-stinky sheets, so the dogs have now got their own plush bed set up in the laundry. I honestly think they''re happier there -- my great dane is getting old, so it would probably be bad for her joints to be jumping in and out of a very high bed. When it''s sheet changing time, I get them in there for one night though.

Unfortunately. My 30lb dog sleeps under the covers in the cold months.

Unfortunately, my fiance doesn''t want our 65-pound dog sleeping with us in bed. Our cat is allowed to however.

BUT -- when my fiance is at work all day and I''m at home, my dog and I do A LOT of cuddling in bed! My fiance always thinks the dog sleeping in bed will lead to stinky sheets but he hasn''t noticed anything so far. ;-)

I am a big animal lover so it feels just WRONG not to be able to cuddle with my dog in bed! I think my fiance will come around.

SO CUTE!

No.
Our dogs have slept in their crates since they were puppies.

Kitties are in the bed. I''m not sure how I''d feel if we had a dog (kitties are indoor-only), but I have a feeling it would be in our bed, too. DH keeps the thermostat waaaay down at night, so especially in the winter, we all snuggle in together. I''ve made noise about wanting another cat, but DH says not until we get a bigger bed, haha. Two humans plus two cats in a queen is a bit of a crowd.

Our bed isn't big enough for 300 lbs. of dog. Besides, our boys get really hot when they are on the bed, so they're happy for about a minute and a half and then they want down. They are definitely allowed in the room, though. We have a routine where we take them out for their last potty session and then they immediately go upstairs and take their places on either side of the bed. Byron sleeps on D's side of the bed and Bo sleeps on my side of the bed.

I do have a friend who claims her bedroom is the "fur-free zone", so her dog isn't allowed in the bedroom. She's not really a "dog" person, though

Yup! We haven''t had a chance to get all three of them in yet, but I''m sure it''ll happen. My cats get free reign over the bed (much to poor, allergic BF''s dismay), and Bodhi sleeps with M. So when all 4 or 5 of us all snuggle in for the night, there isn''t a whole lot of space. It''s okay though, I prefer love and cuddles over space. (Heck, even when it''s just me and the cats, they curl up right next to me so even though I technically have the whole bed, I''m just as constrained!)

Yes our two cats sleep with us

we have a yorkie and when he was a puppy we did allow it occasionally. however, he was still trained to go into his kennel at that age. once he got the kennel down, we allowed him in the bed for a long time. but now, nope. he stays in his kennel. it just works better that way for us.

mine sleep with us, SO has a sort of love hate going with it.

My two boxers allow my DH and I to sleep on the bed with them.

Cat is allowed on the foot of the bed, dog sleeps in his crate. Training the cat to understand that he was only allowed the last two feet of the bed was a long process, but well worth it.

We have a teeny weinie named Maxx and he HAS to sleep with someone every night. He cant sleep with me because of my allergies, but he will sleep with
one of my kids. His favorite is my son Shane, but if he is out late or not home, he will take whoever is available--until Shane gets home-he hears his car
and will start scratching at the bedroom door to be let out. That is his boy. It''s so annoying! He is such a cuddler too. When Shane moves out, he is not taking
the dog! We would all be heartbroken!

I was a little tempted to get an additional mini doxie for my birthday, but decided not too. They are so cute and sweet, but also a lot of work to train.

The 45 pound dog sleeps on the floor in his bed. The 18 pound dog sleeps in the bed with us. WORD OF CAUTION... our middle of the night

time no longer exists since the little dog joined us in the bed. Now it is run to the room, and close all the animals out when feeling

We allow our two 65 lb dogs on the bed...till the lights go out. Edgar (the hairier one) wouldn''t stay up all night anyway, he gets too hot. Boomer, however, would love to stay and snuggle all night.

Our two dogs used to sleep in our bed, but DH and I finally decided that we weren''t getting good enough sleep and kept waking up in the night, so the dogs went to the floor. It took about a week of pushing them back off the bed throughout the night, but I am happy to report that they sleep together on the floor next to the bed, and DH and I get MUCH better sleep now!

DH has just enough of an allergy that if the kitties spend time on our bed, his nose completely clogs up. So sadly, they are only allowed up on the bed for an occasional snuggle.

I guess it''s good that they are not cuddle bugs to begin with!

My tiny Italian Greyhound sleeps in the bed. He loves to be covered by blankets and wants to snuggle all the time. Sometimes during the day he goes missing, and I always find him in the bed under the comforter. My huge rescue dog only sleeps with me when he's nervous/upset. He doesn't like loud noises so he doesn't do well during storms. I did let him sleep with me last night. It was funny because he took up more than half of the bed and wanted me to snuggle him. If I'd stop petting him he'd get restless and move around until I started petting him again! My dogs are definitely spoiled!

My dog knows when it''s

time and automatically gets off the bed and lays on the floor. At some point in the night he crawls back up. I just find it hysterical that he knows, like he''d rather just get down rather than be kicked off.

We have 3 dogs, all small. BF''s dog sleeps on the floor, my 2 dogs sleep in their crate. BF''s dog can''t jump on the bed, nor does he have any interest in doing so, but my 2 dogs are serious under-the-covers snugglers. Even though they''re small, it gets way too hot and crowded in the bed.

Since my BF doesn''t go to work until way later than I do, my dogs get to come out of the crate and snuggle all morning with him

On the weekends, I get morning snuggle time with the puppies too.

Our cat does sleep in our bed. Many night she can be found sleeping at my feet. Every now and then, if it''s chilly in the house, she''ll sleep by my head. She also likes to sleep with our daughters, especially the eldest. Our son sleeps with his door closed because he doesn''t like to have the cat in his bed!

She prefers to sleep with a person, so if she''s not sleeping with one of the girls, by 10 or 11 pm she''ll start crying for me to come to bed with her.
