Those look like single cut stones to me.

@RRfromR, just going by the pics they don't look like old cuts to me but I'll be interested to hear what others think. I do think it's a beautiful ring!

They do not give off old cuts vibe as in single cuts or OEC/OMC to me.

But they don’t scream modern round brilliants either.

my first thought was single cuts too but the photos really don't show the stones well at all, so that would just be a guess.

Maybe early mrbs? Hard to tell, but the tables look on larger side from the pic...

It came back from appraisal - original, late art deco area, marquise and round cuts, all VS1s, a little less than a ct. Ruby is original to the ring, hand cut, heat only with no residue, strong red with slight purple. I'd have to send it to GIA for origin. After telling him what I spent, he highly recommended keeping it, and this guy is not a big fan of antiques. So it's a keeper!
