I''m in the market for a diamond and wondering if I should wait until after Valentine''s day? Do prices generally go up on loose diamonds around Valentine''s day?
2nd. Locally, you''ll see lots of B&Ms having "Valentines Day" sales, however, the prices are generally so steep to begin with, you''ll still end up paying more than what you would paying with an online site.Date: 2/3/2010 11:16:51 AM

I am not sure if the prices actually go up for online vendors - there might be discounts at B&M. However, I think you will have a better selection if you wait until the stock replinishes after Valentine''s day.

Prices do not really increase for Valentines Day, however I was told by a friend of mine who is Antwerp on a buying trip right now that prices have increased since his last trip... Again, this has nothing to do with Valentines Day, but rather the market in general.
If you find what you''re looking for in terms of cut quality, carat weight, color and clarity, I''m inclined to say buy it.
