Patty,

LOL! I'm glad you were able to make good use of your's diamonds light sparkles!

Maybe that's that "Flourescence" that only a few special diamonds have...... Double LOL!

The dark mine reminds me of a time that cflutist saved a whole airplane full of passengers one night.
emthup.gif
We were at a small airport when there was a blackout...we noticed a commontion over by the control tower, so we aksed what was going on - it was just a blackout, probably some car hit a power pole...

They told us an airplane was coming in for an emergency landing - it too had lost all it's power, so it's landing lights were out, it's ground radar was out, and now that the airport was blacked out, it was going to crash - it was already in it's final landing pattern.
face7.gif
They needed to get a brilliant light on the landing strip ASAP!

At the word brilliant, an idea popped into my head (no, not me being brilliant, the idea!!!). I knew cflutist's pear throws off some great light sparkles...I told the airport people, if they could get us down to the end of the runway with a strong flashlight, we could help out.

With screeching tires, they got us down there - I had cflutist stand in the middle of the last foot of runway and hold her arm out straight with her hand in a fist, with her pear straight down the runway, pointy end towards her feet and the rounded end up. I turned on the flashlight, and shown it straight at her diamond. It reflected back this brilliant cone shaped beam of light all the way down to the end of the runway one mile out.

The airplane roared over us, just a few feet above her head and safely landed!

Afterwards the pilots thanked her profusely - that miracle beam of light coming out of nowhere saved them they said!

Wow, Websailor, good thinking on your part there!

And how noble of you to put cflutist in the path of the oncoming airplane!

Does anyone else have trouble seeing ghosts? This keeps happening to me. When I ask them why they are approaching me, they say that they were told to "go to the light."

LOL! I''ll have to use that one on cflutist! Every once in a while I''ll play act around the house - hold my arms out and walk like Frankenstein - "Where is my beautiful bride?".

A few weeks ago we were lying in bed talking about my pics in the who''s who and what people were saying about the rattlesnake. When there was a quiet moment, I went "SSSSsssszzzz".... she jumped! Snakes give her shivers... I almost died laughing....she almost stared me to death with the "Don''t you dare do that again!" look.

I always have to make up for things like this by leaving her cute little notes or giving her random hugs and kisses...

This thread is toooooooooooooooo funny

Now let me tell you about the time we were on the foggy Mendocino Coast and this cruise ship was heading straight for the cliffs...we needed an instant lighthouse! Fortunately cflutist''s pear was cleaned just that morning....

Okay, maybe that one should be held until you''ve had your fourth glass of wine!

PS can be so much fun at times!!!! Thanks Patty and Jennifer!

websailer,
Tell them about the time you got a $300 ticket for running an illegal search light when a cars headlights caught her ring full on and lit up the sky.
Dont forget the part about the sobriety test the cops made you do when you tried to tell them what it really was.

Oh, this one.... I still don''t think the strip search after the sobriety test was necessary.....

Where did they think I was hiding a searchlight anyway?

Hello,

I noticed whenever I take an afternoon walk under those big raintrees, my diamond suddenly has a life of its own....sparkles like crazy and can see lots of fire or ''rainbows''. Once I almost fell down ... was too ''busy'' looking at my fingers waving around than the path in front of me with pot hole.. :P

I find that when it is shine directly under the sun, it looks kinda yucky..

Did you ever wonder how people become interested in diamonds? This is a story about a young girl....

Wise men warn the emperor that the moon is falling. Someone must climb the fragile cobweb staircase to it and seek the counsel of the moon dragon who lives there. Min-Yo, the lightest person in China, is selected, and responds bravely to the task, taking with her gifts of food and a egg-sized diamond for the dragon. The dragon is entranced by the vegetables but ho-hum about the gem--he has a cave full of them--until he realizes their weight might be making the moon fall. He and Min-Yo toss the diamonds to the skies, where they become stars.

For parents who want to get their young daughters hooked on diamonds early in life, this might be a good fairy tale book....

Min-Yo and the Moon Dragon

Oh, I''ve been busy and missed the laugh at my expense.
