Patty,
LOL! I'm glad you were able to make good use of your's diamonds light sparkles!
Maybe that's that "Flourescence" that only a few special diamonds have...... Double LOL!
The dark mine reminds me of a time that cflutist saved a whole airplane full of passengers one night.
We were at a small airport when there was a blackout...we noticed a commontion over by the control tower, so we aksed what was going on - it was just a blackout, probably some car hit a power pole...
They told us an airplane was coming in for an emergency landing - it too had lost all it's power, so it's landing lights were out, it's ground radar was out, and now that the airport was blacked out, it was going to crash - it was already in it's final landing pattern.
They needed to get a brilliant light on the landing strip ASAP!
At the word brilliant, an idea popped into my head (no, not me being brilliant, the idea!!!). I knew cflutist's pear throws off some great light sparkles...I told the airport people, if they could get us down to the end of the runway with a strong flashlight, we could help out.
With screeching tires, they got us down there - I had cflutist stand in the middle of the last foot of runway and hold her arm out straight with her hand in a fist, with her pear straight down the runway, pointy end towards her feet and the rounded end up. I turned on the flashlight, and shown it straight at her diamond. It reflected back this brilliant cone shaped beam of light all the way down to the end of the runway one mile out.
The airplane roared over us, just a few feet above her head and safely landed!
Afterwards the pilots thanked her profusely - that miracle beam of light coming out of nowhere saved them they said!
